I bet 3+2 so I always win 1 unit if it hits the EC or the dozen I'm betting (If I played 1+1, I would only win 1 unit if the dozen hits). It's the same as playing 5 lines out of 6, but with the twist that I play this on french tables and when 0 hits, I recover half of the EC bet.

I'm trackin' with you now.  In that case, you should be able to play it just like the 5 out of 6 lines.  Bet 3 units on the e.c. and 2 units on the dozen until you win 6 times in a row and then evaluate.   Remember, to increase by 1 units on each line, you must go from 3 units on the e.c. to 6 units on the e.c. and from 2 units on the dozen to 4 units on the dozen.  Really you are betting 1 unit but the unit represents 5 units.  Each unit increase is a 5 unit increase.

The French rules are sweet.
