ive enabled the karma feature for rhe forum. Now longer term members can give other members karma points. Its a trial, and hopefully it will help identify which members have greater credibility.

Of course some members will abuse the feature, to attack people they dont like for whatever reason. again its just a trial for now.

does the "smite" make them a -1 ?

If so why not just have the "applaud" button only ?

we can display a -or + rating. For now just + to remove the possibility of revenge votes. Then again im not entirely sure how it works yet because the instructions arent clear. Ill do some testimg soon to see.

ok we can display total value whether its positive or negative, or both total positive and negative votes. The later option is better i think. And only established members can vote. I can see who votes so will know who abuses it. At least its a better indicator of reputation, assuming it isnt abused

I've already answered that question, which was already put forward by you.

To stop newbies getting conned / scammed plus some questions on occasion help me to
look at roulette from a slightly different angle.
