Here's our progression line 1-2-3-5-7-9-12-15-18-22-26-30-35-40-45-50.  Each level is a flat bet for the number of bets per attack we decide on.  Let's say we're playing 4 bets per attack.  That means the most times we will bet in each attack is 4 times.  But we don't bet 4 times very often because we only play each attack until we have an opposite result from how we started.

So, if our 1st bet of an attack is a Win, we keep betting until we have a loss, which ends the attack, or we have 4 wins in a row.  Each bet will be the same amount.  Meaning our 1st attack will be level 1 so we bet 1 unit each bet.  We flat bet each attack.
If our 1st bet of an attack is a Loss, we keep betting until we have a win, which ends the attack, or we have 4 losses in a row.
We continue playing attacks on the same level until we either lose 4 bets in a row or win 4 bets in a row.
If we win the 4 bets of our attack, we move 1 step to the left on our progression line for the next attack.
If we lose the 4 bets of our attack, we move 1 step to the right on our progression line.
So, any time we have the following results WL, WWL, WWWL; or LW, LLW, LLLW, we must end that attack and restart another attack at the same bet level.
If we have either of the following WWWW or LLLL, we must move 1 step up or down our progression line.  So, the only time we change our bet size is if we lose or win all 4 bets of the attack.

As you test this method, you'll discover that the more bets you choose for your attacks, the less often you'll be moving up or down the progression line.

This is only mildly more aggressive than a true flatbet but it still has reasonable recovery potential.

As with all my suggestions, they are just concepts.  You can use the idea however you like.  There's no right or wrong way.
For example, you can use a different progression line.  Less aggressive would be 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 etc...  More aggressive would be something like 1-2-4-8-16-32-64 etc...  Or the Fibbo 1-1-2-3-5-8-13-21-34 etc...
