Rotating wheels?

Hi guys, I'm new here and this is my first post so if it's a stupid question or i've posted in the wrong section please let me know.
Anyway, I am collecting data from a wheel to see which numbers might be/are biased. On the internet I've read about how casinos rotate their roulette wheels in order to make it difficult to exploit their bias.

I was wondering...if a casino is open 24/7 when exactly will they be able to pick up the wheels and rotate them? Surely they can't do that while the casino is still open, correct? The casino i go to is open 24/7.

Steve

That's the stupidest question I've ever seen (joking).

See link:://:.roulettephysics.com/roulette-wheel-bias/

And the casino can move a wheel anywhere they like, and much of the time the wheel will still have the same dominant diamonds, and same bias. But if you are looking exclusively at bias, then something like changing the rotor will affect you. It mostly depends on what is causing the bias. Sometimes bias will only occur with specific rotor and wheel base combinations.

Conclusion: there are better ways to beat roulette. And if you must use bias, use visual confirmation methods too as in the page at link:://:.roulettephysics.com/roulette-wheel-bias/

Zebra - The local casino here in Sydney OZ has a lot of roulette tables available for use. I haven't counted them but lets say 30 in groups spread around the casino. Unless super peak busy (New Year/holiday/Fri./Sat night) only 4 to 8 - 12 are open at any particular time depending on the time of day = Less early am & more pm & into the night.

Day to day they change the groupings when the dealer shifts change (close some open others), so a table played 1 or 2 days ago may not be operating for a couple of days. I know as sometimes I've seen this all the time on consecutive multi day visits. This ploy alone would stop most bias targeted play. I would think most casinos would vary the use of their tables as part of their anti wheel bias countermeasures against some players ?  It's not like what you think in that they shuffle/juggle/swap the wheels to different tables, that's unnecessary & costly work  for any casino. Worst case scenario is that they can shut down any wheel that they find/think is being exploited. I've only seen this done once in 14 years of visits.

They don't run old wheels these days, so wear & bias should be minimal. The marquee spin sign boards you see at the tables are more than just a service for the customer. Their software monitors the wheel results (wheel maker Cammergh flags that aspect, go to their site for info.) & any bias these days would be picked up well before any player ID'd the bias & dealt with by the casino tech heads = re- levelled, adjusted, replaced etc. Add in accurate high tolerance CNC manufacturing, computer aided rotor designs, better training of dealers for more varied & therefore more random spins (less dominant diamonds).
For me, players collecting spin data these days looking for bias is a time wasting futile exercise.

Also the HEMISPHERE ROULETTE (HR)thread discussion a little time back may be of interest to you. Wheel bias & levelling the wheel was talked about.
Find it up top via SEARCH near the home logo type in HR in full & it should get you there.
