I am here because I am trying to find a way to make a living off roulette

I dream numbers.  I find myself struggling to go to sleep if I don't have numbers running through my head.  Several years ago, my brain started thinking about roulette numbers for some reason.  I found a terrible Gambler's Fallacy system on the internet, lost about $600 bucks that I didn't have to lose, and started doing my due diligence research.  I love the challenge and think roulette will be like chess is for some people - a lifetime endeavor to learn the intricacies.  If I find a way of playing for a living, all the better.  Regrettably, my non-liberty-minded government interferes with much of my desire to play, so I don't know that is much of an option until I retire, sell my business, and can move to where gambling is readily available in person.

Being on boards years ago compared to today, is a bit different (for me). When you get SET IN YOUR STYLE of playing, there are FEW threads that will help you at that point. This is only my opinion folks, dont kill me.

IN MY VIEW, there are really only two types of methods out there but YES, with many various branches.

A) Betting on FUTURE numbers for whatever reason your method tells you.

B) Betting on numbers based off the PAST for whatever reason your method tells you (I refuse to call this gamblers fallacy). Hot numbers are one such example.

Sorry, I do not see a third choice, its one or the other. Anyways, I suppose we are here to read and ask questions and hopefully get polite answers. *MOST* of what we read here are OPINIONS (suggestions), little of it is fact.

I thought the same when I started only to learn about how casinos treat winning
players and how often they won't pay if you win too much (online at least.)

(Not to mention the US gov't will want to know where
all of those thousands came from if they go through a bank.)

Now, creating systems is more a pastime for me than anything else.

To be honest richbailey86 ... i have been visiting gamblings forums from 2006/2007 to 2014.
I have never seen or meet any one making a living based upon roulette systems.
Sure there has been claims that some have, but that is empty words as none of them never post a winning method.
All lies.

You are in the wrong forum and i know two guys who make a living playing roulette, but they are into advantage play.
One of them win regulary and can pay hes bills and build bankroll, the other one have won millions.
I know two guys that could make a living playing roulette, but company and family prevent them doing so and they are also into advantage play.

Then i hear about others who do good and make serios money out of roulette.
Sometimes winning 2 to 3K or one year of income during one to two days attack.
They are also into advantage play, but are using roulette computers, so you might regard that as cheating.

Roulette computers is about physics.
A roulette computer can tell you when the ball is exact 10 sec left to hit a deflector.
The computer estimate where the ball will end up before the ball has landed in one pocket, so you can place your bets before that happens.
You can get a 5 to 10% edge over the house using a roulette computer.

Visual ballistic do the same thing with out any kind of device and are based upon skills.
Both are advantage play.

  Advantage play:

1. Visual ballistic - predict where the ball will end up before it does.
2. Bias - wheels with defects make the ball hit and favoring certain numbers.
3. Wheel signatures - light visual ballistic using same or similiar parameters.
4. Roulette computers - same as visual ballistic but you get the help of a device to predict.
5. All this is about physics.

I was always intrigued by mini roulette computers. But how to not get caught

 You can use your foot, i have a roulette computer that i don't use, it has been given to me as gift.
The size is so small so you can attach the computer against your leg and have a wire to your toe clicking to give the computer information about what happening in the wheel action.
Then computer vibrates when you should look for your prediction number and you place bets around that number and win.
