It can be done,,,,,,,,,,If I lived near a Casino I would make a profit 12 out of 13 bets, but since I live 240 miles from the nearest Casino it cant be done because of gas and traveling 500 miles per day.

If I can find a honest online place to play roulette I would have a go at it.
I have friends who play on 5dimes but they only play lottery there,,,,,,,,,,I have been told they are not honest when it comes to roulette??? now they are honest with lottery.

The method I use to play roulette has been tested by myself and others and wins on a consistent basis for over three years, but play only real live dealer only.

We also use virtual loss tally, which saves the bankroll.

I have interacted with some folks on this forum and I shared the method I play and they dont have the PATIENCE AND DISCIPLINE to profit from the method,,,,,,,,,,,,,I even had one guy here in the States call me and said wow it sounds like alot of work to me,,,,,,,,,,and I said thats right buddy,,,,,,,,,,,its work but 50 dollar an hour work,,,,,,,,,thats the last I heard of him lol.

TWO THINGS THE AVERAGE GAMBLER ARE MISSING,,,,,,,,PATIENCE AND DISCIPLINE.....................

As Lanky used to tell me PATIENCE AND DISCIPLINE you need to play this like a business.

Beating roulette can be incredibly easy, or virtually impossible. It depends on the wheel and method you apply.

I get people all the time saying you cant beat roulette blah blah. But if they just spent a little time researching, they'd see how easy it actually is, in the right conditions. And the right conditions are very common. I always tell players it all starts with wheel selection. If you just play the first wheel you find, expect to lose.

Then comes the 'business' part of the casino.  If the casino staff senses you have a secret
you have to 'staying under the radar'.  Why should you continuously win--and get comps :)

Signing up for comps isn't exactly "staying under the radar" is it Proof ?

You're right DDarko it isn't.  When the online casinos match
your IP address (after a big win) you tend to get kicked out :-/

It all comes down to you have two main approaches:

1. Win big but very infrequently
2. Win a series of smaller amounts that are not worth the casino's time to investigate

The best approach depends on many circumstances.

It depends on the table. Many tables have players regularly lose $500 in one spin. On such a table, leaving with $500 profit wont raise any eyebrows. It is not so much the amount you win that gets attention, although of course it's a factor. It's mostly your behavior and style of play.

For example with a roulette computer you could have a 80% hit rate betting 10 numbers, and just bet high on 3 spins then leave. That generally wont attract much attention.

But if you sit there betting $5 units very late in the spin for 100 spins, and are $500 up, then it will attract attention because of your style of play (ie constant late bets).

I would say yes
It would be easier in the uk because there is no tax laws on gambling winnings so it is excempt from income tax so 100% of the winning s is yours.I know in the usa the irs is different and class gambling as an income over there.I live pretty close to Portsmouth in the south of the U,K. i make a semi living playing roulette. There are two casino's here one is open 24 hours a day.

Fit...you probably distract them cos you are so fit looking...lol
Any Grosvenors in Portsmouth? We have 7 casinos in the Manchester area. 2 Grosvenors. I like them

Well i will add some serios thinking into this topic.

Lets say you have rent, bills and food for 31 days each mounth 1400 Euro.
You work for a living and pay this amount of money for your needs.
We might also add 200 Euro for fun things to do and clothing, so we end up with 1600 Euro.

Now how are you going to earn that money each mounth.
You can not work and play professional in the same time.

I assume that if you play professional you will spend at least 8 hours each day in casino.
Can be to get action when other pepole are around or getting the right conditions.
Just as regular work.

There is no gurantess, i assume you will have good mounts and bad mounts.
So where is the money comming from and what kind of size do you need for you bankroll.
I would say you need at least 25K one year of income to make one year of income.

I would also say that you need to take advantage of the state/govurment.
In my contry you get 80% of your salary as insurance if you not have work for one year.
After that you get 65% of your salary as insurance if you not have work for as long you want.
But to qualify for this you have to show the insurance company that you search for work each mounth.
You need to apply and write like 20 companys each mounth.

Now you have insurance if your to become professional not succed and during the path or jorney you have insurance with some minium wager from the goverment as uneployed.
I assume that is how some one neeed to do it or make it if they don't have 25K as bankroll.
Then maybe 5K would help some one build a decent bankroll during 2 years period - maybe reach 30 to 40K
I also think as professional you will traveling around and get other expensives, bills.

This is also a very important expect about gambling.
When you working in my contry you get points from the gouverment for your pension.
So when you grow old you get money from the state and can live a peace full life.
But when you not working and gambling you don't get this points or insurance.
Then you get minimum pension from gouverment that is around 600 to 700 Euro.

Now we can assume there is around 700 Euro missing.
And when we grow old we want to have around 1400 Euro or more to get a peace full life as old person.
We might live 30 years more after 65 years old.
That means you need to save money to get a decent life as old and we are not talking about peannuts.

This means that during your gambling carrier you need to play big and win big.
You might grind during bad flucatations and variance when bad weeks hitting you.
But when you play your regular game you need to win serios money.

So can it be done - Yes and No - you need to be clever and use the society to your advantage to get a good start.

Cheers
Denial of gamblers fallacy is usually seen in people who has Roulette as last option for a way to wealth, debt covering and a independent lifestyle.  Next step is pretty ugly-
AP - It's not that it can't be done, but rather people don't really have a clue as to the level of fanaticism and outright obsession that it takes to be successful, let alone get to the level where you can take money out of the casinos on a regular basis. Out of 1,000 people that earnestly try, maybe only one will make it.

@Steve and everyone - Thanks for the explanation.

I wouldn't like my day job to be sat in a casino for 8 hours a day with my work mates....the stinking, desperate taxi drivers and drunken bums. Occasionally working along side groups of stupid teenagers who reek of cannabis.

Also, I'm never quite sure if Im going to get paid after putting up with all these dregs of society.

I certainly couldnt do my current job if 20 Chinese waiters were leaning all over me, all trying to press my keyboard while I was working...lol

Job satisfaction?....not !!

As ND says....."For recreational purposes only"
