Bayes

Hey Guys,

I went out for a pack of cigarettes in 2012 and got distracted on my way back, anything happen while I was away?   :)

For those who like some maths with their roulette, I've created a site:

link:://:.roulettician.com

It's a work in progress and I'll be adding articles and software over time. I'll post here when I upload new content.

Nice to see some old posters like Turbo, as well as the usual suspects.

Not much - unless you ask other people, then you might hear all about the new ideas all over the place that were new ideas in 2012 too lol.

Nice site Bayes - have you figured out how to beat the game yet?

I know what you mean, amazing to think that I once believed betting on black after 10 reds in a row with a marty was the key to untold riches.  ;D

Thanks!

As to beating the game, I don't believe in the holy grail in the sense of a 100% "mechanical" system, but some ways of betting are better than others. The principles I stick to are "diversification" (don't put all your eggs in one basket - by using a fixed selection process you will always suffer the full swings of variance), and betting numbers, groups, or patterns that are currently above expectation (which does have mathematical justification).

Whoah Whoah Whoah !   :)
Someone is making sense here - watch out.
I couldn't agree more. Some think betting on something that isn't happening "to happen" is the key - but they always fail.
Betting on what IS happening - hmm. That's where we win.
The funny thing about what you said - "I once believed betting on black after 10 reds in a row with a marty was the key to untold riches." is that it's common with how people come up with ideas, and it makes no sense yet we've all been there and done it.
Someone comes along and says "Why didn't you just bet on red and have those 10 WINS in a row ?" is never listened to.
Looking at past spins and then falling into the fallacy is just something people have to get through and then get out of that way of thinking.

Can you explain more in detail?
As spins roll off our predictions get better

I will cut all my fingers that tosses chips on the table, if there is an explanation that is provided and it is any better than playing using past results. Simple fact is people like to stay in dreams. A dream is a dream, whether you are dreaming about a threesome in the past or the future.

Well, I wouldn't want you to do that so.....
