Heading to the casino in the am.  Wish me luck!  Think I'm just going to play on intuition, since systems don't work in the long run.  Seems like I do much better that way  :)

MrJ

In general, you are correct. They dont work!!

Watch us big doggs, the MEN, play at a REAL casino, on a REAL table. All we ask is that you stay out of our way. The rest? Bots, airball, RNG...that's more for the Kitty Kat Klub. Actually had some luck today.  Played a solid 8 to 9 hours straight, and still managed to win 400+.

MumboJumbo

Your intuition was right this time, good luck next time. :'(

Thats good to see.
Could you give some info on how you went about your days work, like did you just jump on red, got the win, then watched, see column 1 missed for say six spins, so you started to bet that, etc, etc.
Did you try to view the number in your mind?

Actually I was pretty random.  For the most part, I would pick 3 to 5 numbers that were hot.  By hot, I was manly just concerned with the last 20 to 40 spins.  Sometimes I would play hot sections on the wheel as well.

The only time I would play a cold number is AFTER it hit the first time.  This worked out pretty well too.  If something wasn't hitting after a few spins, I changed numbers.

I would say 90% of the time I played the tabled minimum bet at $5 for toral bets.  Maybe 10% of the time I would bet up to $10, but no more.  I probably got in nearly 500 spins of playing and still beat that house edge, without crazy progressions.  I'm pretty happy with that  :)

Here's a couple key points I think helped me out.  I think experienced players would agree with most of this.

1.  Play between 3 to 5 numbers

2.  Don't chase a number.  If your selection isn't hitting as it should sttistically, play something else.

3.  Keep your bets low.  Do not use steep progressions.  I usually played $1 on 5 to 6 numbers...sometimes $2 on 3 numbers.  Ocassionally,  I would play up to $10 if I was on a good streak or "in the money."

4.  If you get a hit on one of your picks, at least leave your selection for one more spin.  I'm a little superstitious about this.  Usually hits in streaks.

5.  Never play cold numbers until after they hit.  I seen #35 hit which was a cold number on the marquee.  It hit another 2 times after that in the next 7 spins.  This happens often.  Oh, and after playing a couple hours, you may notice some numbers are cold that are not on the cold number marquee...same goes for these.

6.  Pick hot sections off the wheel

7.  Sometimes playing a cold section on the wheel is good too, but after it has hit once.  I seen 0 hit and looked at its wheel neighbors and noticed that it was the first time that section of 6 numbers had a hit out of last 20 spins.

I could have won alot more, but for awhile I broke rule number 2 and 5.  I had a hunch on #5, even though it was a cold number.  I ocassionally kept going back to it to play.  Never hit that number.

Thsee are just a set of rules I play by to see the most success for the way I play.  May not be for everyone.

Do you really disagree with most of this?  So you're in favor of betting a larger amount of numbers, chasing numbers that aren't hitting, using steep progressions over flat bet, betting cold numbers, etc??

I have played 1000s of live spins at an actual table, so I have a good deal experience.  And from from personal experience I have been doomed plenty of times going against these rules  :)

I'll come back to this thread to post more game play results the next time I go.  May be 3 weeks from now before I do.  Getting married next weekend!  And the weekend after that, attending a friend's wedding.  So, no casino for a little while.

I agree with most of your listed points , but the point of not using negative progressions is the most important of them all.

Because of harsh personal experience,  I have become very, very hostile to negative progressions.
What is the fastest way of destroying your bankroll at the casino?

Play roulette with GLC's progressions.

Agreement here as well, all systems and negative progressions fail, just a matter of time.
