Test the accuracy of your method to predict the winning number. If it works, then your system works. But tests over a few hundred spins tell you nothing.

I share MauiSunset's opinion about roulette,winning systems,bet selection and so on.
I completely agree with him.

But there is a small contraddiction in his statement:
Playing a number of spins  as few  as possible protects players from the house edge,but playing 100 spins(EC) ,otherwise statistics doesn't work for the player,expose him too much  to the house edge.
It means that in 100 spins( 5 $ per spin),a player lose 13,5$ due to the house edge(american roulette)
Are 13,5 $ offset by the "work" of statistics?

What's the truth?

That's the definition of "Breaking Even" - losing 5.26% for all bets except the 1st 5 (American wheel only) which is 7.89%

However that doesn't mean that you can't stop at my suggested profit level - I do constantly and end the session early.  If not I play the 100 spins and stop when I'm down 5.26% of the money bet $26.30 if you bet $5 100 times.

Overall, I must be a very lucky guy since I can't remember the last time I ended the day at a loss - I just about break even ( $0 ) every day at the casino.

I know that I'm supposed to be down 5.26% but I am not - have no idea why....

So i ran a 1 million spin simulation using the $5 table and ECs

What i did was if i lost the full $180 dollars i counted it as a loss and if i got to $240 dollars i counted it as a win and if ever i was 100spins or more and bankroll was equal to $180 i started a new session. I only bet on high every single spin.

And the results are in.

Won = 1770 = 106,200 units
Loss = 587 = 105,660 units
Draw = 2976 = 0 units

So in this case we would of ended $540 in profit. I know at around the 500k mark it was exactly perfect, in the sense that we had not lost any money nor won any money. And as far as i know that's Maui's goal is to break even but enjoy the comps.

I did this on a no zero table for all that is interested as that's the table i use. Take it or leave it.

Cool, but it should be down 1,000,000 * $5 * 5.26% = $263,000 - that's what I don't understand with my own real results too.....

Juiced91

No i did it on a No zero table so i should have made 0. Lol

The chart's main purpose is to show folks that walking up to the Roulette table, plunking down 10 bets using "super-secret" systems can't work - there is not enough spins for statistics to approach the posted odds.

If you do this 1,000,000 times the results will fool folks since even if you used 10 bets over 100,000 sessions the results will approach the odds too.

Gamblers face the problem of the casino is shielded by the odds which are well known and guarantee a fat profit versus the gambler who must use enough spins to stand a chance of being shielded by those same odds.

Basically the stated odds are based on billions and billions of spins (infinite) and the gambler must live with just a few hours worth during his visit to the casino.

This is the very reason Roulette is the oldest game in the casino - gamblers just don't get enough spins for the odds to help them and the casino and the industry does....

Your chart doesn't prove that you can't successfully bet using a bet selection method.  All it does is give a number of spins where the standard deviation is sufficient to give you a good shot at taking a profit.  I like the concept of the table, but it doesn't rule out anything.  It is a listing of the guidelines by which your, apparently successful, system operates.  Just because you need a certain speed on the runway for a jumbo jet to become airborne on the way to Europe, that does not preclude me getting to Europe via boat.  My point is that your table may have merit, but don't be blinded to the possibility that we may take a different route to reach the same destination as you.

>>The "secret" to "winning at Roulette" is playing the right number of spins.

Play too little and statistics doesn't have enough time to work, play too long and you will lose any winnings you have and just fester at the loss you have at that point.>>>

What a load of old cod's wallop!

This is nothing more than hit and run.

Play 100 today play 20 tomorrow play 6 the next day and play 270 the next.

It all adds up to one long session where you are just as likely to encounter the exact same behaviour of variance that you would if you had played the total 396 spins in one go.

Sheesh!
A ship moored in the harbour is safe, but that's not what ships are made for.

I have a sneaky suspicion that this was posted to gain visitors to Maui's personal website, which he linked to in his post.  This table appears to be the only substance at all on the page yet, and I'm not even sure what the substance is.  In one area, he has sections for the systems that work, systems that are horrible, and systems that are a complete disaster (90 of 100 by his reconning).  I like Maui, and have had some interesting discussions with him in the past regarding some of the systems I have posted, which are admittedly few.  To even see what systems he is talking about, he has to grant you the priviledge of being a full member.  Total visits to his site yesterday: 37 people.  Most ever online: 9 people.  I think Maui is trying to piggyback on the success of this site and gain some traffic for his own benefit.  Maui has never been willing to take claims on the face, but he asks us to do exactly the same with this table.

What link?

"Maui has never been willing to take claims on the face, but he asks us to do exactly the same with this table" >>> Yep, I just love this guy.

MauiSunset

Well I've presented my table and it seems some understand it - you need to spend hours at the Roulette table, per session, before statistics can be used in your favor.
