Hello
I'm from Essex,England.....it's the only way ;)

We'd have never guessed BloodAngel.  Are you going to get to the Olympics?
In my case it doesn't matter.  I'm both!

Ralph

I live so far north, maybe beyond north for ST.Claus. Nights now are short (Sun 24/7), feel pity for my Muslim friends her, Ramadans in a Nordic  country, the latitude is hard in other places. Just check what's 66 degree north is in all other places , or even 56 which is far south here.

(56 is about the South of Greenland).

I'm from Oklahoma, USA, where it's so hot people have heat strokes on motorcycles.  Yes, it's true.  Killed the poor devil!

I'm afraid not GLC. I wasn't lucky enought in the ticket lottery. I'm amazed though at how many empty seats there are at the events I've seen so far. Did you see and enjoy the opening ceremony?

Some of it was enjoyable and some of it was a little over the top.  The best part was the lighting of the torch.

I totally agree. Some of it was a bit too much. Still the games should be brill! Good luck to all.

Ralph,  glad to meet a fellow northerner.  I live north of the 60th parallel.  I'm not too far south of the artic circle.  Straight daylight here as well, but as you know it won't last much longer.

Great link turnerfeck, thanks.

You're right about that sun being too small, but what about the distance?

They reckon if you put a basketball on the ground and roll out a roll of toilet paper all the way, then put a pea at the other end you'll have the scale of size and distance between sun and earth just about right!
A ship moored in the harbour is safe, but that's not what ships are made for.

Just saw this thread now.

Really interesting seeing were everyone is from.

I live in Holland at the moment but was born in Canada. Dad was a fighter pilot and we moved around a lot. From Wichita Falls to Leeuwarden.

Lived in Washington DC the longest.

I am fortunate to work as a lifeguard and travel during the winter for a few months.

Hello! :)
I was born in Belarus. Now living in Ireland.

AMK,  You should go visit Flatino in Croatia.  You could work as a Life Guard on his beach during the day and go with him to the casinos at night.

Does it matter what type of toiletpaper ?
Because you have small rols and big rolls
Just call me Stef ... its shorter then Stepkevh :-)

Ralph

What ever distance to Mars, I do not like the casinos there. The zero is red, and all other numbers are as most the players small and green.  "42 green hit".
