yes moderate your own threads. I made it so anyone can do it now, with no minimum posts. Its goung to live up to its name, gambler's forum, run by the community. I may be admin but I dont have commercial interest with it.

Sakura, the problem may be your email provider, or email in spam folder. Theres no problem in tests and all ok for other members.

I don't know if this is the reason.
But thank you for activating my account. I am happy that gamblersglen is online once again

Ive just started a mailing of 50,000 gamblers on my mailing list, but it is being slowly mailed over the coming weeks. So there is going to be a fair bit of activity at :.gamblersforum.com starting today.

Theres like another 150,000 on the list Ill mail later too. The list has been built over the past 10 or so years.

Again I will never run ads at gamblersforum.com. It is purely an enthusiast site, with progress for players in mind.

So far its going well but needs more experienced members.

Just a reminder that its self moderated. So anyone can moderate their own threads. No need for Moderators.   I would do that here but it would risk destroying old threads.

What if you were asked to move a tread there? Would that be do able?
Title: Re: GamblersForum.com (new forum)
Post by: Steve on Oct 08, 06:41 PM 2016
Yes can do, but is best to do move it manually or it can screw the database. We would just combine multiple posts for people to see post history, then it would continue as normal.

Bad idea.  Such a forum will inevitably end up like the betselection fourm, where scammers like Gizmo, XXVV, Blue Angel, and other hucksters can prosper buying skimming money from hapless newbies seeking the secrets to winning- while suppressing knowledge, the facts, and common sense.   It's a newbie trap.

In a free and open society if you do not like something, you do not have to participate

If Steve wants to have 2 forums, one like this, and one were members moderate, that's his business

I reckon you have the ability to create your own forum, if the gambling forums around do not suit you

I've done it. Easy.

When people complain that their cell service sucks, I say "make your own cell phone service company then". They don't like that

Complain that the flight take 45 minutes to take off? Make your own airline.

General, You are right.

However, once you start hearing or reading that posts have been deleted or are getting deleted. The admin , revokes the previleges from the person.

Which would be no abusing of the previlege.

Avoids people getting scammed.

What I don't like is someone says it out to everyone, they don't like it here. Yet they come over and stir shit.

I think, for now Steve, has taken care of that. Lets see what happens in a few weeks.

Correct of course I wouldnt allow obvious scamming. How would I know its scamming? Well when they're selling a martingale and claim its the holy grail and is an amazing money-maker, and buyers complain. Then it would be pretty obvious. And that's exactly what happened with Alabalah.

And anyone can remove posts from their own threads. Where I draw the line is editing someone's post to make it look like they said something they didnt, or to make them look bad. In that case, the member wouldnt be allowed to moderate their own threads anymore. Also keep in mind if someone unfairly edited, all someone would need to do is create their own thread. So there is incentive to be fair or you'll just screw yourself with a new thread you cant touch.

The only time I'd really step in and do something is if complete trash was being posted, like vile comments and insults, personal attacks and just trash. Keep that garbage for GF and GG. I'm not interested in dealing with kids.

General,
Here is a good example.

I decided to help. The person didn't like my results. I am not going to change the truth unless someone actually comes out and says hey you are wrong with your code and here is the error.

Steve, remove the link if its not suppose to be there.

I've given some thought to the direction of :.gamblersforum.com and made some changes. I'm about to heavily promote the forum, so it's going to get busy.

:.rouletteforum.cc will still be the main forum for roulette. But :.gamblersforum.com will be a generic gambling website.

The official rules are at link:s://:.gamblersforum.com/index.php?help/terms

Basically it will be moderated in a similar way to rouletteforum.cc, but will be more permissive. So you can get away with more at gamblersforum.com. Not a great deal more. Generally offending members wont be banned. They will just need to have their posts approved. Eventually they'll get the message that posting junk just wastes their time.

Promotion of gamblersforum.com has started, and will gradually increase in speed. There will be occasional RSS feed posts, with the initial ones being repeated topics. I'll try and clean it up so only new topics are listed, but it might be a bit annoying a for a while. It's not permanent though.
Title: Win $20,000 referring members to GamblersForum.com
Post by: Steve on Mar 16, 10:19 PM 2017
The promotion has started as at link:s://:.gamblersforum.com/index.php?threads/20-000-cash-prize-to-post-or-refer-new-members.7766/

Members can now win up to $20,000 in cash for referring members. Basically every new member you refer is like a raffle ticket to win. The more members you refer, the more tickets you have, and the greater your chances of winning.

How it Works

1. Go to your profile page and click "Referral Tools".

2. You will see something like below:

(link:s://:.gamblersforum.com/index.php?attachments/upload_2017-3-17_10-56-30-png.59/)

These are three options to refer new members:

a. Using your referral link: You can use your unique "Referral Link" to send other people. If they click your link and join, you received credit for the referral.

b. Recommending a thread or post: Alternatively, you can enter the URL of a specific forum thread or post in the "Generate Referral Link" area. Then the link generated will direct people to the page you specified AND if they also join the forum, you are credited with the referral. This is a good option if you visit other forums and want to share an interesting thread from this forum.

c. Sending invitation emails: Use this form (link:://'link:s://:.gamblersforum.com/index.php?account/invite-friends') to send invitation emails to your friends. There is a limit to 5 emails per day. You must not send spam or invitations to people you don't know. If we receive any complaints, you will be ineligible to win.

It might look familiar. Except:

* With a much larger prize amount
* Legally done, instead of an unknown jurisdiction and laws. Unless its legally done, you have no way to know its a legitimate competion.
* You can actually track referrals so you know you arent being cheated
* Very few strings attached
