I agree denzie .....a 4-5 step  marty or grand marty  with a   definate cutoff-- I might test a couple of thousand more spins tomorrow-- It just seems too simple

just for fun I checked 1000 spins in zumma 15,000..
loss =$550
I won $1925 and lost one time -$550=+$1375
Maybe we are so ingrained to think that marty or grand marty is stupid that we discount the idea. who knows maybe a limited marty could work in the right situation

Fully agree!!
And thx for testing

I did some experimenting with this in the past using a 4 step Marty, the way I played it was to pick a colour and stick to it.  Bet 1 2 4 8, if lose all 4 reset to 1 and start again.  Any win on any step reset to 1.  I didn't use any trigger and just stuck to one colour throughout.  Over 500,000 spins it came out in a big minus.

I don't have the spreadsheet anymore, but it wasn't a good result.

When I ran it through again using the same numbers but betting the other colour, simular result.

I good bet selection could change all that I suppose, but once the hole is dug it is hard to get back out.

It isn't until you lose everything that you work out what really fails.

That is what I would expect. No doubt. But I'm really curious about waiting a trigger...or a back to back rfh and then go in etc...

I don't do progressions anymore denzie. Roulette is beatable flat betting.

ati

You can test simple progressions on testmystrategy.com
I've tested 5 step grand marty the other day for 100k spins, but it was a steady loser.

This is funny statment - i have spent more then 10 years at gambling forums and have never seen a winning method flat betting!
You are not better of flat betting then using a progression, both lose money in the long run.
Denial of gamblers fallacy is usually seen in people who has Roulette as last option for a way to wealth, debt covering and a independent lifestyle.  Next step is pretty ugly-
AP - It's not that it can't be done, but rather people don't really have a clue as to the level of fanaticism and outright obsession that it takes to be successful, let alone get to the level where you can take money out of the casinos on a regular basis. Out of 1,000 people that earnestly try, maybe only one will make it.

I read the same things all the time and disagree.

There is two kind of members when it comes to flat betting.

1) One show method and it works sometimes.
2) Comes with empty claims and empty words about flat betting with no example.

To this i can add there does not exist any secret method.
No one can turn a game with negative expectation into a positive game.

Cheers

There are all kinds of people on gambling forums, 3 types are:

1. greedy lazy gamblers looking for a free lunch (majority)
2. those that know and don't see the need to prove themselves, but help those that are willing to work if they can without giving away all their secrets
3. those that try to use shame tactics to gode others into proving their claims

Then there are the others that just do not have enough of an open mind to grasp that they might be wrong. :girl_to:

This may be my last post, if it is, those that know my ideas work, you have my email address, you know who you are.

The forum becomes counter productive when posters claim to have a winning strategy but will not share it or have the belief hey i worked for it im not giving you a free lunch. Better for those posters not to enter a forum of people seeking a winning strategy

Very counter productive

Thats why those people take heat

Not everyone can share and be as helpful as atlantis, glc, and guys like that. If that were the case the forum would be a gold mine

You have people that come here say they have something and dont share it. Then someone like GLC who spends god knows how long writing an informative post on a strategy with examples and bet selection.

Couldnt get that from the "hey i worked for it you cant have my free lunch" people

I vote for more posters who engage in conversation and are helpful then the people "haha i have something and u cant have it" kindegarten style
the key to winning with systems : play for a statistically irrelevant number of spins

Wasn't planning to Chrisbis, but if the self appointed Mayor and Forrest Gump (sorry Forrest, no offence meant) of RouletteForum.cc has his way he would like me banned.
