Title: My project - excel to php
Post by: Redherring on Jun 14, 02:47 PM 2016
Hi

So I have an excel sheet based around timings. On excel it works but it's a lot of messing about setting up etc. Even worse, I cannot use it at home as I use a Mac and a macro doesn't work, therefore is pointless if can't use!

I'd like to turn it into a website based tool. I'll say it needs 3 simple databases and a stopwatch.

holy grail? No. Improve your odds? Yes :)

Any help with coding appreciated

Thanks

i could. but im a little reluctant to at this stage as EVERY method or program has flaws and people are often eager to point them out. id rather get it working in private and see if it runs as well as/better than my excel sheet, and maybe then let others use it if its worth it.

You dont need to tell the details of the system, but what you are doing? Can you give just an example? You speak of timmings and a stop watch... that part confuses me a bit.

If it was just for databases and you already using excel, I could point you out to an excelent online free tool, but I dont know about the rest...

Well it's based on timing the ball so need a stopwatch for it.
Have tried the tools to transfer excel to php or whatever and I don't get it
