And sleep ( I do morning , evening  and night shifts)

When I took my last "breeth", I knew it no more, but it liked bury my "friend" but it takes your grave very soon. And why all this "misery" =) My work mate said read that book and make conclusion, I event read that book to end, it chanced look of view to topacco very much. And its Allen Carr, hope I can one more human to stop selfdestruction, then goal is achieved. Thanks.

hi Timo, I think I get what you're trying to say here, i hope im not wrong..

I remember sitting in a pub about 10 years ago when you could smoke inside them. me & my friends were smoking away... an old guy , maybe in his 60's or more, came up to us & threw a piece of paper on our table & then walked straight out.. said something like:

'i know you all like to smoke but i've just watched my wife dying from cancer.. it was a terrible thing to watch. Please think about what you are doing..'

it was something like that, I think i've still got that piece of paper somewhere..

stopped me right in my tracks.., but im so dumb i still smoke every now again. But not half as much.

where i work, i see so many 17-21 year olds smoking.. my wife smokes... socially, but she likes it...
but i remember that letter..

Hi Monaco! Lets say all those years when "starting" to quit, it needs just one god damn cicarette, and hui, you smoke again like never before, good and so on..:/  And good, I tell myself, put in fire and take a gooood breath of smoke, f'king wonderful isnt it? No, you will choke that shit eventually. And warnings in the tobacco boxes, pyh, who cares, not gonna happen to me? Of course not, I am young,  no way to happen me... WRONG!!! It just happen if smoke too many years, of course there is people who live about 90 years and smoke but, how many dies.. Tobacco have killed more people than all wars in the world together, and its legal..But thats not point, never happens to me..And if you are going to smoke, put two tobaccos, one you right ear and second to left ear and go to city or mirror, you wear like stupid but more stupid is to get  that  shit to your lungs, think about that, and even money is not involved yet.Huh...

Thanks for the words of wisdom Timo.  If they encourage even one person to stop killing themselves it will be time well spent.

I quit in 1978.  I tried many times before I finally won the battle.  Even today I sometimes feel the old craving for a moment but I remind myself that if I never touch tobacco again, I can never get hooked on it again!

Every time I see a young person smoking, thinking it makes them look cool and grown up, I tell them, "Son, listen to an old man who used to smoke when he was your age.  If you live long enough they'll either kill you or you'll try to quit.  In the battle of quitting you'll curse the day you ever started.  Quit now before the tentacles of nicotine get too deep."

In my case it doesn't matter.  I'm both!

I quit smoking on Caufield Cup day in 1988, backed the winner too, Imposera. That's exactly 24 years smoke free.

I was a pack a day smoker so if you average that out to $7.00 a pack not only have I saved my lungs from certain destruction, I've also save about $60,000.

No wonder I feel so good and have so much money!  :)

Never smoke again, Timo.

Nice choice to post in the randomness studies section too.  ;D
A ship moored in the harbour is safe, but that's not what ships are made for.

I can not say I never smoke, but it is less than once a week. Sometimes I like a good cigar with a brandy. Cigarettes I have not used since 1956.

Beside the the risks of health, It is not very good economy either, here smokers spend about 4000 dollars on it yearly, and the public health care  have heavy costs for it.

The smokers decrease in numbers here most of them stops during theire life, it is expensive, and it is not allowed in all public places. You may have to pay the landlord  10000 dollars for fixing a flat when you are about to move, for tide it up.
A smoker may have some difficulties getting a job.

The sad thing is most of the smokers are people which should have better use of the money.
In older days it was regarding cool to smoke, today the name of the disease smokers suffer from.

The best way to fail, is not to try!

Way too much sugar, seykid.

Honestly, you'd be better off with the red wine, but you can't beat plain water.
