Title: Fish Vs. Net and Custom Carpet Roulette
Post by: falkor2k15 on Aug 10, 08:16 AM 2017
We know that a Straight Up number has to repeat by spin 25 (spin 26-37 are not really outcomes at all).

So we have 37 "fish", and only a maximum of 25 need to show before they are caught with up to 25 small individual "nets".

However, if we knew that our fish would all appear within the first 24 positions of the carpet then we can guarantee to catch them using a single large "net" in the form of Low (1-18). The worst thing that could happen is that we would have to double up 6 times before we caught them:

Now, how do we create our own fish and our own carpet? Perhaps we could even create our own nets too?

Here I've created 24 Number Roulette using Quads (1-9, 10-18, 19-27, 28-36) and Lines:
(link:s://s27.postimg.org/5z9f4mnz7/24numbers.png)

Spin 1 we take the Quad value and Spin 2 we take the Line value. Depending on this 2-spin combination trial we get 24 new numbers.

Quad 1 & Line 1 = New Number 1
Quad 1 & Line 2 = New Number 2

How to bet for a repeat on both? Well, we bet 2 units on Quad 1, and if we win then we parlay the winnings onto Lines 1 and 2. The total payout for the 2 spins would be equivalent to 24 Number Roulette (1:23?). The only problem is that the house edge would increase based on zero appearing during spin 1 or spin 2 of our trial.

Quad 1 & Line 1 = New Number 1
Quad 1 & Line 2 = New Number 2
Quad 1 & Line 3 = New Number 3

If we want to bet all 3 we could increase our net by just betting 1 unit on Quad 1 and parlaying that on Lines 1-3 - or how about just Low to cover all 3 lines?

In 1 million spins the maximum number of trials before a repeat for 24 numbers was 20, so there are 4 outcomes that are not really outcomes at all...

Have fun, guys!!!

NCL8o2
NCL7o3
NCL2o2
NCL2o1
NCL10o4

I think CL means Cycle Length

What do these mean ?

Does N mean New Number ?

o2,o3,o2,o1,o4 are these the defining New Number, defining quad ???

NCL = New Number Cycle Length (how many spins before repeat).
o = Order (which element repeated: 1st, 2nd, 3rd appearer..., etc)

Now, how do we create our own fish and our own carpet? Perhaps we could even create our own nets too?

If the carpet is a pool of fish then I would expect the bigger heavier fish would be deeper down at the bottom, and the smaller sweeter fish would be splashing about near the surface.

It so becomes a matter of fishing preference and therefore technique as to who takes what home for dinner.

I personally prefer light meals and so whip around with smaller more user friendly nets, rather than labour needlessly with large dragnets for hauls I can't eat anyway.

PS,
Falkor you are the Hanna Barbera of roulette!  ;D
