I like your section here General sir. IMO.....the biggest issues (in no order) with this "crew" here are...
A) Age
B) Lack of REAL casino experience
C) Having ZERO interest in the guys here that know 400% more than they do (lol)

Other than the nerdy glasses. They often don't bet unless they know that they have the edge. They often have to consciously remind themselves to places bets in order to keep from standing out when setting up a play.

B) Lack of REAL casino experience --- I agree 100% if you are talking about overall experience but not if you are only talking about roulette.
When I joined the forum back in January of this year I had not placed a roulette chip on the felt. However, having said that, I have been playing BJ since the mid 1970s in casinos and did very well until they started catching on to things like card counting and introduced rules and equipment to combat the losses. That was why I joined the forum. To learn, absorb and WIN!!!

In regards to this knowledge thing though, I would have to say that the only things that I have ever heard from most of the people with more knowledge of roulette than me, and that would be just about everyone here, were negative, and abusive comments. I have received many unsolicited messages from old forum members that no longer post and I would have to say that they, and Notto were the only reason I have stuck it out. Thank goodness I did.

Here's my take on Caleb (aka "General"):
1. He has a solid knowledge of beating roulette.
2. He does like to share his knowledge.
3. Like many AP's, he comes accross as arrogant, or too sure of himself. The "system players" think AP's views of winning roulette are "unwelcome opinions", when it is actually mathematical and scientific fact. Like how the payouts are always unfair for the odds, and the only way to win roulette long term is increasing your odds of winning. This is not an opinion. It is fact. But inexperienced players tend not to understand the logic.
4. His initial contributions here (recently) were polite and accurate. They didnt stay that way, and I understand why considering he was being attacked in a subtle way, as if he was being a prick trying to rain on parades. The truth is not raining on parades. Someone mentioned there should be a section where system players could share ideas, without people like Caleb getting in the way. Anyone can start their own forum. But the fact is Caleb was sharing accurate information. It is not wise to ignore clear mathematical fact. Its the same facts I've been saying myself, and even I've been accused of acting like an "arrogant know it all".
Alternatively, let me know if you want a private section, then you can choose for yourself who can or cant contribute.5. I believe while he has good intentions, most of the time, he can be immature and an outright asshole too. Mostly if he's pushed to begin with, but sometimes for his own amusement, like making faces at animals at the zoo. But usually, it appears he starts off polite although abrupt, and people take offence to being told their ideas are "worthless". He should apply some tact and use better words. Although then again, he does spell it out and people still don't "get it".
6. He appears to like the attention and to create trouble, regardless of who it may inconvenience. For example, this thread.
My suggestions are:1. Try to learn from Caleb. He is one of the few that understand roulette. I am not saying he is a roulette god. I dont agree with him on all aspects of AP but I dont think either one of us want to argue about it. But hey i will say 80% edge for computers in less than an hour of play on most wheels, 5% edge for bias in weeks of play on very few wheels :wink:
2. If you dont agree with him, then dont listen to him.
3. If you think he or anyone is breaking the rules, report posts. If he is being a nuisance to you, ask him politely to butt out and if he doesnt, then that would be trolling. He needs to respect that people can discuss whatever they want in peace. If people are wrong, say your piece then let them be wrong. And remember if you want private conversations where you can choose who can post, then request a private section. They you can moderate your own section, and choose who can and cannot post. Contact me via PM if you want a private area.
