Title: Quick note about changes
Post by: Steve on Jul 26, 02:14 AM 2011
Basically all the changes I intended to make have now been made, except a few:

1. I'd like Iggiv to become mod if he wants the position.
2. I'll disable the ads for longer term members, so only new members see them

The forum still needs to move to another server, but other than that, it wasnt so bad, was it?

I've made it so members cant see my ads. Can any member confirm this is the case?

I wanted to make it so only guests and new members see them, but I'll sort that out later.

I have ads now.

Hmm. I wonder how many posts I have to complete, before I don't see them?

Would anyone care to hazard a guess?

20 Greek Euro's for the nearest to the actual correct number! (what a prize eh!)  :-\

Welcome back Chris.

What sort of adds are you seeing?

Id say about 100 posts.

It was twelve Tom!

But Steve has not 'Tokened' me with the "Posts" I had banked.

Not that its really that important.

Maybe will all come good in the wash when we move!

just saw this. thanx. i did not read the forum for a few days.

well, i will try to interfere as little as possible, when it is really necessary.
I mean the atmosphere is a bit different from old VLS, because
1) there are  fewer members and members know each other better and generally more friendly to each other, and less fights and insults.
2) mods are tougher here (and there are more of them)  than in old VLS so when something happens usually it is taken care of before i ever see what happened. That's why i always saw no need for another mod here

but on another hand if something i see is necessary to interfere and help, i will. So far i haven't seen such occasion (as opposite happened quite a few times in old VLS).

thanx for trusting me, Steve. will try to help when will see it needed

congratulations for what? having mod rights? it is not a toy or medal, it is something to work with when necessary, that's it. I did not see any necessity to be a mod here, but since Steve likes the way i moderate (thank u Steve, i value that)  i will help when necessary. Though I am not sure it will be necessary that frequently. As i said, i find the atmosphere and user behaviour here a bit different than in old VLS, where i can see people behaving rude frequently.
