Another roulette toy to play with!  :)

This software generates a standard Labouchere progression, using a chip value and win target you select.

Like all my software, it's not likely to win any awards for style or design, but I like to think it has a kind of inner beauty.  :D

Very simple to use; select a target and chip value, then record wins and losses by clicking the relevant buttons. Your next bet (stake) is shown in the green box, and is converted to a monetary value, using the chip value currently selected.

You can pick a Loss Limit - use the + and - buttons to raise or lower it. When your loss limit is hit the green field will turn red and you'll get a "No Bet" message. Note that you can continue to record wins and losses while in No Bet mode, but the balance, wins, losses, Total and "Labby String" fields won't be updated. The No Bet mode is cancelled on the next win.

The "Total" field keeps track of the sum of the figures in the Labby string, again converted to whatever unit is currently selected. e.g. if your string is 1,1,2,3,4 and you have selected 0.5 unit chips, the figure in the field will be 11 âÅ"• 0.5 = 5.5.

The Prefix 0 button puts one zero in front of the labby string on each click, so if your current string is 2,3,4 and you click "Prefix 0" twice, the result will be 0,0,2,3,4.  This is another safety feature; instead of betting the first and last figure of the string it means you'll only be betting the last.

Also, you can switch between different value units if things are getting out of hand. For example, if you're using very small units (say 0.1) and the string is getting long, you might want to convert the total deficit (which will be shown in the "Total") field to larger units so it can be cleared more quickly. Use the "Reset" button to clear all the fields and start afresh.

I think, though, that it needs the capability to add more strings. That way it will be more flexible and allow for betting on chances other than evens. Also, maybe an option to go negative or positive.

I'll put some thought into the design of a truly "universal" labby calculator.

I know nothing about coding but is it possible to adapt this tool to the modified labby that we use in "beating roulette with math" ??

I think It will need these options :

1/ add more zero's
2/ divide number of figures to add to the Labby ( divide into 2, 3 or 4 figures )
3/ share the figures into equal figures i.e   0,0,0,1,1,2,3,3,4,5=19 -> 0,0,0,2,2,3,3,3,3,3=19
4/ divide a labby into 2 equal labby's ( in order to bet on another even chance)

In other words the program would be very flexible.

I hope you will understand me. :)

1/: You can already do it; there is no limit to the number of zeros you can add at any point in play. Just click the "Prefix 0" button to add a zero.

2/: Not quite sure what you mean here. Can you give me an example?

3/: Yes, this was on the agenda.  :thumbsup:

4?: Again, I had planned on doing this (in fact adding multiple labbys) to the next release.

2/ Let's say you first bet is 15 you lose then you bet 30 so you lost 45. You can divide 45 into 22 + 23 ( 2 figures ) or 15,15,15 ( 3 figures ).

Ok, no problem. That can be generalised to "Divide the sum of the last X figures in the labby by Z". If I do this, then 3/ can be scrapped, since it's already taken care of if X is the total number of figures in the labby string.

Ok, I've added a "Split" button which when clicked, distributes the total loss (sum of the figures in the string) equally over the string.

So for example, suppose your current string is 2,3,4,5,6,7,9. Your next bet should be 11 units (2 + 9) but you don't want to bet more than 10 units. Clicking the "Split" button  results in 6,5,5,5,5,5,5
which is the same number of figures in the string but with the figures "equalised".  However, this doesn't help because the next bet is still 11 units. Now click "Prefix 0" which then gives 0,6,5,5,5,5,5,5. You can either bet the indicated 5 units, OR click the "Split" button again, resulting in 5,5,5,5,4,4,4,4. Your next bet is now only 9 units, but of course the trade-off is that the length of the string has increased by 1.

You can repeat this process anytime the stakes become too high for comfort.
