Title: Trend Tracking
Post by: Calypso on Feb 20, 02:09 PM 2011
hi Guys

as I have a trading background .. I like trends  :) .. and we all know that roulette produces trends .. short and mid term abd some are longer .. its all relative thou..

but how to track trends.. well we have all kind of trends.. like LW .. or just looking at the marquee figures .. like RBRBRB BBBBRBBBB etc.. or even on doz/col .. like if you put them into
binary formats.. like  change = if the dozen jumps from 1-2 for example.. or same if a doz repeats.. then you can see patterns/trends like SSCSCCCSSCSSS etc... or you track the movement of doz.. like if doz1 doz2 doz3 doz1 came in that order you get RRRR means the doz move right ... or doz1 doz3 doz1 doz3 .. would be LRL .. etc..

now  you see there are man ways to track the roulette outcomes .. and put them into something "readable" .. this is human nature .. or gamblers fallacy as some call it.. ;)

but there are trends.. and you can play trends.. as they occure..

here is a method I came up with recently.. wich I like to share...

we virtually bet on dozen 1 .. it doesent have to be dozen 1 .. it can be any dozen or column..  this is just an example

then we write 4 collumns of  the outcome of the virtual bet with +1 or -1 and we add or substract continuesly.. then you will see patterns/trends emerge.. and play them...

please note that I don't like to play two dozens at the same time
so if the trend says the next bet should be on doz2+3 I bet on the EC19-36

yes I know that I miss the double street 13-18 but as I said I don't like to bet 2 units
u could even pass this bet completely and only bet the 1st dozen... when the trend tracker says so....

an example
is attached with notes...

FLAT Betting

only playing dozen 1 would have end -3 <<only betting on D1 triggers
playing dozen 1 and d2+d3  end -2  << betting on every spin
playing dozen 1 and 19-36 end +13 <<< betting on every spin,
6 times the unbet double street came 13-18 when I played 19-36  :sad2:

cheers

If trends are your "thing", might I suggest that you take a serious look at baccarat as your casino game of choice?

With roulette being and "independent event" type of game, you may find that baccarat is a bit easier to track what is essentially a game set in stone once the first card comes out.

As a trend player myself, I did find baccarat to be a much better trend play.

Hi Calypso,

Thank you for posting this interesting idea, could you post some more examples of of completed sessions I am interested in the EC method as I am also a keen Baccarat player.

When I say examples I mean some more completed tracking sheets you used with comments as you did for the dozens examples.

I tried to follow your first example but all it did was leave me with lots more questions, such as you seem to wait until the twelfth row before you start to place bets, also I know you put the triggers for dozens at the end of the form but what are the trigger figures for EC betting, ect.

Like I said an interesting idea but I am pretty sure that I am not the only one that is a bit confused about how to fully apply your idea.

As you can see I was never afraid to put my hand up and class and ask questions if I am not sure

So any further help you could give to us would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Hi All,

I have attached a couple of sessions using Calypso's Idea of trending.

My roule session was going ok then I hit a run of 10 losses in a row  :( but that could happen with any Bet Selection method.

I then decided to try it out on Baccarat that ended +15  ;D

I will try some more sessions but now I understand what calypso was demonstrating.

calypso sent me a link to a video with notes and that helped me a lot, it is a big file to download 181 meg.  But if you are intrested in this idea it is well worth the wait while it downloads: link:://:.mediafire.com/?hwwxdedvwb5ipop (link:://:.mediafire.com/?hwwxdedvwb5ipop)

For those interested this is how I played this method

If I see +1 +2 +1 or -2 -1 -2 = Bet Red
If I see +2 +1 +2 or -1 -2 -1 = Bet Black
If I see +1 +2 +3 or -3 -2 -1 = Bet Red
If I see +3 +2 +1 or -1 -2 -3 = Bet Black

I have only used the last three outcomes to determine the trend I don't know if that is correct, I did that because their can only be thee distinct patterns that form when you look back three out comes.

Because the way it recorded a figure has to move up or it down so you could never have a figure such as +1 +1 or -1 -1 for the last two outcomes for a column.

I will now get my head around the dozens idea and post my results here.

---------------

Update this is part of a PM calypso sent me that could be of use to anyone who may be going to try this method out for them selves.

--------------
1) If a zero comes up while forming the column
I ignore the zero  .. and make another spin

2) I place the same bet again..

3) well as soon as there is a pattern unfolding
  ie. +1 +2 +1 I bet on red

for example if we saw a trend wich changed.. like

-1 -2 -3 -4 -3 .. I will place a bet on Black..
as I expect  a -3 -4 -3 -4 pattern...
-----------------------------------

Thanks

Hi All,

Here are three sessions I played to day with this trending Idea I played them on Baccarat but it works the same on roulette.

I played two ways one way was to track if the last round was won by TB4L or OTB4L, TB4L= +1 and OTB4L = -1

The other way I played was to track the repeats or chops so if we had a repeat then that would be +1 and a chop would be -1. (I think this is my favourite!)

I will carry on testing/playing but I wont bother posting unless anyone has any questions.

Thanks

malcop

Hi All,

I said I was not going to post in this thread again but I have been having such great results with this trending idea for calypso I wanted to share some more finding with you.

The thing you all have understand is how versatile this trending idea is.

For example if have been applying this idea to repeats/chops.  Repeat=+1 and chop = -1.

And that worked fine, but then I thought why not give each EC that you are betting on it's own trend.

So if we decide that we are going to bet on Black and Read

We would set-up two trending tables, the count would be ease a repeat on black = +1 a chop from black = -1.

If you look at the sessions I have posted you can see what I am doing, but I would not recommend you try the split method until you know how the trending idea works, and the best way is to play with just one trending table until you get the hang of it.

Since I came across this trending idea this has been the only thing I have been playing/testing.  I keep thinking of ways this could be adapted and played.  I have made more than +150 units profit, and that is with me trying out different ways of using this idea, and if you look at my sessions no crazy progression it is virtual flat bet, don't get me wrong I am not anti progression but if you have to relies on big progressions to make a method work then for me it is not worth my time pursuing, but that is my personal preference.

If would love to use this split idea to all EC at the same time but would it would just take up too much time to track them all at the same time, but a tracking tool like matrix turbo would do it no problem.

Hey I am not saying this is the holy grail, there is no such thing, but for me this idea works and it works very well on Baccarat and Roulette, and splitting the EC works even better.

Anyway I have said my bit look it over if you wish.

Calypso thank you once again for sharing this great idea

Thanks

malcop

Hi All,

It's been a while since anyone posted in this thread, in fact before I posted I had a warning that it has been over 120 days since anyone posted in this thread and I should consider starting a new thread!

Anyway a member contacted me over the weekend asking me if I was still using this method, and I had to answer no, I had no real reason why I had stopped using it, because I was not down on overall profit playing it on, Baccarat & Roulette.

I have attached two sittings, not I said sittings not sessions because in total I played 6 sessions, over two sittings.

The first sitting I only played 1 session it ended +15.  The second sitting I played 5 mini sessions +10, +10, -12, +10, +8 = +26

So over two sittings I maid a total of +41 units, I played these sessions at Bet Voyager on Punto Banco, in the past when I played this method I found not much difference in playing Roulette or Baccarat.

When I get some free time I will try this on on slingshot roulette.

I played Oscars Grind as described in the attached ebook, but with a few tweaks of my own.

Thanks

malcop

Tx Malcop for your work and to Calypso for sharing.
I started testing and it's quite interesting; it seems to me that in every cycle of 4 bets you get it at least 1 win, can you confirm this? (more or less)
what's your winning rate?

I think I understand it now with the exception of the E.C. split columns.  I still dont' understand how the column entries are made.  Thanks to Malcop for his help.   My first shoe test flat betting ended at +7 units before commissions.

Playing split EC is a lot harder than the way you just tried, and I am not 100% sure that in the long run it is any better, I only did it because I know a lot of people like to track R/B or P/B seperatly, if I can find some free time over the weekend I will try and do a play by play example.

Yes I think you are right. I have played this progression 1,2,4,6 with good effect in the past, as far as win rates I assume you are talking about winning sessions, easley over 70% in the past.

To the author:
is there a reason for tracking 4 columns and not 3 or 6?
tx
PS: I'm still having good results and I'm worried: why? I never believed in this kind of bet selection!

Hi All,

I have attached a tracking form that plays all 3 ECs at the same time, all you have to do is just enter the spin numbers and the sheet will tell you what your next bet(s) will be.

Also I have attached a live session I played yesterday flat-bet only.

Thanks
