If he had ANYTHING going he definitely would NOT need backers. He would be able to take his small BR and turn it into a larger BR.
Why would you give money to someone? There is NO guarantee first of all that he is even legit.
Second, if he did have something how.do you know he would pay you?
Third, how do you know he would be honest and not just cook books if he was legit in the first place.

The worst student with reading randomness has produced $270 per session won at $5 chips and $90 bets in under three hours per session. The win ratio tends to be 4.66 sessions won to a single session lost. That arithmetic comes out to $1,260 won to $630 lost bankroll for a net win of $630. That is for the worst student so far. It takes 16+ weeks to pay for a bankroll lost. It's like almost 4 months to double your bankroll if you never lose your bankroll. I'm just thinking that you might do better working at McD's. To make real money you would need a 20,000 bankroll just to make a thousand a week. That's not even considered real money these days. It will take you years to get a 100,000 bankroll.

Ask Warren Buffett what he thinks of small BR. He started with a few bucks, was patient and used the power of compound interest.
If you keep winning, and if you don't get overconfident and slowly build up, you should make it quite far.
