I've often wondered reading about other systems etc. if the system would not be better used with different progression. So I would like to dedicate this topic, to progression and progression ONLY please. I would like to know your progression, should you play any E/C's or D/C straight up, or double E/C or whatever. Just plain old simple progression that works for you.

I'll start, and if you'd like to contribute, please add your part.

Okay, I'm going to expand on your normal martingale.

Let's call this the parallel martingale.

We can use any number of bets per level, but I'll use 5 for this example.

We start by betting 1 unit for 5 different bets.  Each unit is the beginning of a martingale.

If we win 3 of the 5 we will be +1 for the 5 bet series and can start over with a new 5 bet series at 1 unit per bet.  We can continue in this fashion until we have a series where we lose 3 or more of the bets.  Let's say we won 2 and lost 3 of the 1 unit bets.

We go to the next level of 2 unit bets.  Since we won 2 of our martys, we will only have 3 bets of 2 units at this level.  If we win the next 2 units bet that will be +2 units -1 unit from our 1st level = +1 unit and we can reset to five 1 unit bets.

If we lose two of the 2 unit bets and win 1 we will have completed 3 of the martys and our next level will be 2 bets of 4 units each.  Let's say we win our 1st 4 unit bet, this completes 4 of the martys and gives us a +1 unit total so we can start over with five 1's.

Let's say we lose the first 4 unit bet and win the 2nd 4 unit bet.  We will have completed 4 of our martys and our next level is  one 8 unit bet.  But, if we want, we can always apply a safety brake by staying at the 4 unit level since we are only down 3 units, a 4 unit win gives us our +1 for a re-set.

If we lose this 4 unit bet, our next bet is 8 units and we are -7 for the series.  Another safety brake can be applied by splitting our 8 unit bet into four 2 unit bets.  This is in effect starting 4 new martys at the 2 unit level.

We can continue splitting any large bets we have to make as much as we want to keep our bets within reasonable size based on our likes or dislikes.

Just remember, the more we split, the longer it takes to finally climb out of the hole.  At some point, we might decide to just take a reasonable loss and start over.

Another consideration is to take a loss and start over with five martys starting with 2 or 3 units instead of 1 unit.

Remember, we are in control of how we play.  We know we will have times of very poor win/loss ratios.  Our goal is to not lose during these times and during the favorable times we will win our units.

Cheers,

George

Hi Maui13,

Glad you started this thread, been meaning to post the progression I'm using at the moment with EC bets.

Ignore the title of "Perfect Blackjack Strategy" it is relevant to any type of EC betting.  I use it for Blackjack, Roulette and Baccarat.

What I like it has very strict stop-loss/Win goals that stop the progression getting out of control.  The PDF is only 6 pages long, and I have highlighted in yellow the important parts of the document.

Recently I have started to play slightly different to the guide, that is once I get to +10 play a trailing stop-loss of 5, so that means I will never place a bet that will take me 5 units bellow my highest point in the session.

Also In the guide it says exit the session if you have a draw-down of -10 or the next bet you place will take you above -20, well I take that from my highest point, so if my high point in the session was +7 that means I will not go bellow -3.

When I play this way I tend to play mini sessions, two or three depending on how they went and the time that I have.

If anyone is interested I will post a session up, showing you how this works out for me playing real money.

Thanks

malcop

@ GLC

Would you be so kind to perhaps give a sample set numbers. Looks good as far as I understand, but just before I test.

@malcop

Going to download the PDF now and look into it.

Hi All,

To demonstrate how I play as laid down in the PDF I posted I have attached a Baccarat Session I played today, it ended at +16, now remember I said that once I get to +10, I treat it as a winning session and change to a trailing stop of -5 from my highest point, so I will never place a bet that would take me bellow -5 from my highest point.  So for example this session ended at +16  so if I had 5 straight losses after that I would exit the session with +11, or if I was now at +12 and the next bet called for me to place a bet of three units I would exit the session because that would take me to +9 which is bellow the +11 from a high of +16.

I hope this all makes sense to you all.

Thanks

Good system malcop.

One of my favorites uses Oscar's Grind for a betting strategy.  It's called Full Trioplay.  You can download it from the downloads section.

I like to play to win or lose 50 units.

I use my idea of playing mini-games under a global umbrella.  I like to use the fibonacci (1-2-3-5-8) as a global umbrella.  That means that if I lose a game to 50 units, I go to 2 times my base unit size.  If I lose at 2 times my base unit size, I go to 3 times my base unit size.  If I lose at 3 times I go to 5 times etc...  Anytime I win and I'm not fully recovered, I drop back to the correct unit size that if I win I will then be recovered and then I drop back to base unit size.

Works pretty well.

Example:

Let's say we're going to do 5 parallel martingales.  To begin with we bet 1 unit on the next 5 bets.  This is the beginning of the 5 martingales.  One thing we do is whenever we win a 1 unit bet, we X off 1 of the losses.  We continue adding 1's for each loss and X'ing them off on each win until we have 5 losses to start our 5 parallel martys.  Anytime we are +1 in this process, we add that +1 to our profits

1
1
1
1
1

Now we start betting 2 units.  Everytime we win we X off a 1 and add +1 to our profits.
When all the 1's are either X off meaning the 2 bet won or our 1's have a 2 to the right of them meaning that they lost, we begin betting 4.

1

The above lines indicate that we completed 1 marty and lost 4 martys.
We bet 4 units until we either win or lose the next 4 bets.  Every time we win, we X off a 1 & 2 and add +1 to our profits.  Everytime we lose, we just add the 4 to the right of a 2.

1
1
1
1 2 4
1
1 2 4
1 2
1 2

Every time we win a 4 unit bet we X off a 1 & 2 and add +1 to our profits.  Every time we lose a 4 bet, we write a 4 to the right of our 1 & 2.  Once we have either won or lost all the remaining martys, we begin betting 8.

1
1
1
1 2 4 8
1
1 2 4
1 2
1 2

Once we reach the above, we take the 15 units and start our 5 martys over with the 1's and 2's like this:

1 2
1 2
1 2
1 2
1 2

Now we bet 4 for 5 times.  Every time we win, we X off a 1 & 2 and add +1 to our profits.  Every time we lose, we add a 4 to the right of the 1 & 2.

We continue in this fashion until we have reached a new high bank between with our profits minus the number of units left to X off in our 5 martys.

You continue to X off when you win or add to the right when you lose until you have only 1 marty left at which time, you begin a new set of 5 martys.

Let's say you have 1 2 4 8 16.  That's 31 units to start your 5 martys with.  It would look like this:

1 2 4
1 2 4
1 2 4
1 2 4
1 2

From here, we 1st bet 4 units to either X off the 1 & 2 or add a 4.  Then we start betting 8 for 5 times and either X off a 1 2 & 4 and add +1 to our profits or we add the 8 to the right of a 4 if we lose.

We keep going like this until we find ourselves at a new high point between our profits minus the number of units left to recover in our martys.

At that point we re-set and start as described above collecting 1's until we have 5 more losses than wins.

That's it.

LOL

In my case it doesn't matter.  I'm both!

LoL

I have found out that we occasionally need to add a safety brake when we find ourselves trying to dig out of a really deep hole.

If we end up with the following:

4-8-16
4-8-16
4-8-16-32
4-8-16-32
4-8-16-32-64

That means we have 124 units to start our next 5 martys with.  They would look like this:

1-2-4-8-16
1-2-4-8-16
1-2-4-8-16
1-2-4-8
1-2-4-8

Instead of the above, let's go to 10 martys.

1-2-4-8
1-2-4-8
1-2-4-8
1-2-4-8
1-2-4-8
1-2-4-8
1-2-4-8
1-2-4
1-2-4
1-2-4

That's still our 124 units plus a few.  We start betting for the three lines that don't have 8 yet.  If we win, we x off the 1-2-4 if we lose, we write an 8 to the right of the 4.  Then we start betting 16, x'ing off 1-2-4-8's on a win and adding 16 on a loss.  At this point we're trying to hang on until the wins start coming back our way for a recovery.

Remember, if we play long enough we will always have to go thru the 'valley of the shadow of death' sooner or later.

Make sure you have the stop-loss so you only get wounded and not slain.

A rule of thumb I use is if I get close to my stop-loss and recover close to break even and then things turn sour again, I take a loss less than my stop-loss.  There's always tomorrow.

Buyer beware!
