Title: Variance can't be used
Post by: Steve on Oct 14, 11:08 PM 2017
By chance i came across this on another forum:

QuoteYou know very well something about my own extensive research over the years with my team. I have lately proven to them that the only way to beat the Casinos at their own game when it comes to Roulette, is to only play the variance curve formed on any given bet selection.  If you play this curve correctly it means that you basically understand its mathematical language from a graphical point of view and can swiftly apply a bet selection that shows a positive variance which means the odds of making a hit during its temporal duration is maximal.

This guy is as full of shit as they come.

Using variance is like having 15 reds and 5 blacks out of 20 spins, then betting on black expecting it to even out. The forums are full of people that are full of shit, and they mislead people just trying to learn. This one likes to use bigger words to act clever.

Never can you use variance to change odds.

You can't win with luck alone?
