THE MIDAS TOUCH MM FOR DOUBLE DOZENS

I've always been a fan of Bruce Irwin's Midas Touch twist on the classic cancellation system, but the sequence unfortunately can, and usually will mount up to a very high list of losses to make up and in a lot of cases will result in the player giving up.

I've tried this method with roulette, blackjack, bacarrat and other even chance games.  I've even tried using this method with trading the financial markets and binary options, but as mentioned, sometimes it can be a walk in the park and other times the sequence can build up very very high.

Anyway, I've been trying it lately on double dozens (instead of just R or B which I used to do) and I'm finding it to be a lot more consistently successful with a lot less large sequence build ups.

How to play:-

Write down a sequence of numbers totalling a target amount.

I usually do a target of TEN units using this sequence -  2 ,  2  ,  1  ,  1   ,  1   , 1   ,  1   , 1

Bet the 1st number in the sequence on 2 dozens (you can either off the previous result dozen, either betting against it or a repeater).

If you win cross off the 1st number in the sequence and then combine the next number along in the sequence and the last number in the sequence together and then bet that amount on 2 chosen dozens again.

If you win, cross off the numbers in the sequence, and continue adding together the next number along in the sequence and the last number in the sequence and bet that amount on 2 chosen dozens.

If at any time you lose, you need to write down the amounts you just lost on both dozens to the end of the sequence...and begin just betting the 1st number in the sequence on 2 dozens until you win.  Once you win again, do as before and  cross the first number off the sequence, ad the next number along and the last number together and bet that amount on 2 chosen dozens.

I'm finding this method to be working much much better than the original Midas Method.

Has anyone ever used this before or the standard Midas Method, and if so how did you do?

I have tried MIDAS on baccarat and roulette,,, it gets hairy but has always won for me. But because its so hairy I dont use it any more

Welcome to the forum.  A question:

I won my first bet and added the next 2 and 1 and bet 3 on each of the next two dozens and lost.  Now do I add 3, 3 to the end of the line?  Seems logical, but I better ask.

Thanks for the input.

Sam, depending on your style and risk you can do one of 2 options:

1 - as you said, put down 3,3 at the end of your bet or
2 - put a 6 at the end of your line.

The first option keeps your bets lower while the second option will speed up the session (should you win).  I personally have played systems with this progression many times with success.  I also had a win target of 10 units and once my units went over 10, I would split them up.

Hey MM

Thanks for that tip.  Split them up, huh?  Sort of a divisor, I guess.  This is another thing to try at Riverwind with quarters.

Sam,

it's a good progression even with a simple system.  I still use this play with a FTL 2 dozen with 5$ units if I only have a little time at the casino.  very simple to make an easy 50$ to pay for the drinks that night :)

Hi guys, yes if you lose your bet, you put the number down twice at the end as you bet that number twice (on 2 dozens).  If your line builds up a lot, you can then decide to start adding numbers on the list together to help finish the sequence quicker.  Also remember if the amounts of the numbers starting getting high you can also start splitting them in half in limit your risk per bet (but this will make the list longer).

I also found this bet selection works well with this system.

Always bet on the dozen that hit last and the one next to it.

If it lands in the middle dozen last, bet on that plus the right dozen if it hit the right size of the middle dozen last, or...the middle dozen and the left dozen if it hit in the left side of the middle dozen last.

It will chop sometimes resulting in the sequence building up, then suddenly it will go in your favour wiping out the losses.

You need a big bank roll, I'd say 2,000.  I think as long as you've got this patience to finish the sequence, even in times of high drawdown, and your bankroll is good enough, then I think you'll have to be very very very unlucky if this doesn't always work.

There will be times were you can finish the sequence very quickly and then other times it may take an hour or 2 to finish it, so it's not a get rich quick scheme, it takes patience and belief in the system to keep going.

Good luck.

Very good MM.

In this case, what is your maximum bet for a double dozen?

The problem it is how to avoid big drawdons.

Thanks.

Yes, my friend jarao002.  That is the universal problem!

The nice thing about using a normal type labby on double dozens is that a 50% hit rate keeps you in the game.  (It takes a higher hit rate with the Midas Touch twist).  Since you have a 65% normal hit rate, winning 50% of the time is very appealing.

The purest way to play a labby using double dozens is to start with no line at all.  You bet 1-1 on your 2 dozens.  A win is 1 unit in the pocket.  If you get a loss, you then start your line with 1 1 and your next bet is 2-2 (the sum of the 1st and last on both dozens).  A win and your back to even and can drop back to 1-1.

Using this method, you can only win units by winning while betting 1-1.  All other bets are to recover your losses and get back to playing at 1-1 for profit.

If you think about it, the more numbers you write in your line, the more wins it will take to get back to your lowest bet thus increasing your risk of large bets.

Even starting with no line is not a guarantee that you won't have huge drawdowns at times.  Nothing guarantees that.  Actually, I can guarantee that you will.  That's why he recommends a 2000 unit bank.  You'll need it.

I'm not saying anything against this method.  I think it's a good way to play double dozens, especially like Matty says, for a few quick chips, then go have dinner and a bottle of wine.
In my case it doesn't matter.  I'm both!

Ralph

If you come to a situation you have to split the labby, it will need a very good hit rate to ever recover.
The best way to fail, is not to try!
