Title: How easy or hard is it not playing with your own money ?
Post by: ego on Aug 23, 08:35 AM 2012

It has to be a great feeling not playing with your own money and only use casino money.
Let some one else money give you winnings to collect.

Still it is very rare you see any one mention it.
All you see is one big negative progression with on bet selection.

When the idea should be as fast as possible reach that level where you don't need to risk your own money.
Sure would make me relax if i was playing roulette systems.

Good question, I'll answer, over the last few weeks I have been taking minimal risks using fair MM from BVNZ +1 type MM but knowing when to hold/increase is always key to survival.

The last couple of days I have been penny betting with a start bank of only 00.10 cents, each time I have managed to get to 00.20, withdraw the original 00.10 back to my account and continue from there with THEIR money but using the same techniques, I have not lost one session yet, I don't think it feels any different really but at the back of your mind is the feeling that no matter what happens you wont be any worse off than when you started, we all want to win so as long as we keep strict rules to our play we can accummulate more of THEIR money and slowely add it to our OWN bank.

The reason I start with only 10 cents is so I can make sure I am not being too stupid/risky with my progression/MM.

In short, yes it may feel easier but your play should not reflect it in the risks you take.

Well it can not be so hard to win or break even and play average wheel with minimum 10 Euro on even chance position - when you are up  1 = 10 Euro unit - then it is 10 units with 1 Euro units playing minimum at air ball roulette.

I assume many could succeed to minimize there negative variance if they was not so greedy.

My opinion only......I have not been up the mountain!

If you're playing on "casino money" somehow you robbed the casino.

If you're playing on money you earned while playing--that is your money. You can walk out the door without fear of being arrested.

I've studied a lot about the psychology of gambling.  It's more important that anything else.  If the idea of "their money" enters your mind, you may become more likely to take greater risks.  You may win, but you'll probably lose.

This is why many people "give it back" as they put it.  This is why on-line play is good.  You didn't spend $20 for gas to get there only to win your goal in an hour and have to leave.  Most--myself included--won't do that.

A new world will open up for Americans when Vegas goes on-line early next year.  I hope it's a good world; children are suffering in Oklahoma because Mom and Dad lost all their money at the Indian casino.  It's true.  Statistics, you know.......

That is a cruel world and make me sad when parents don't act like parents and make the children suffering for there misstakes.
Also make me thinking of the pictures you post a long time ago about a unknown side of LV - at least for me with poor pepole.
Sure gambling has a ugly face.

Yes, sad pictures in Vegas.  People living in tents.

There is no way to force people to be responsible.

We must all be careful.  We flirt with danger when we lay down a chip.

Take a look at this poor devil.  I look at this picture often.  There but for the Grace of God........
