Title: Five Strikes and You're OUT!
Post by: TwoCatSam on Aug 26, 02:29 PM 2012
Opinions wanted!!  (Even from that rascal, ego!)

I have come to the conclusion a unit amount stop loss does not work for me.  Won't go into why; not important.

I'm thinking along the lines of when you accumulate five losing bets, quit for that session.  This will only work with systems I play that have very good hit rates--sometimes over 50%.  Won't work with my progressions that go ten spins or more.

So I'm playing and in the course of five spins, I've lost a net of two.  Then I win and have a net of one.  It goes up and down.

I am a winning player when I have hard-and-fast rules to follow--much like a bot.  When left to on-the-fly decision making, I come up on the short end of the stick.

So----like I told Turner once---I'm going to write me some rules and read them before every session.  One of those rules is "Five Strikes and You're Out" for X hours.  How many?

Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

OK, you bring up another point.  One I'd love to discuss.

I'm playing back-a-rat and I normally win.  I really do.  But in rare cases, the cards are absolutely against me.  So the other night I waited for a shuffle. New deck; new world!  Nope.  Same ol' "Beat Sam" stuff.  Lost rather badly; should have quit at five loses.

For years I have seen the wheel run in phases.  Very even r/b distribution.  Rarely over three of either in a row.  Mary lovers get rich!  Then it turns for seemingly hours.  Long runs of red and then black.  Marty lovers shoot selves!

My out-in-five idea hopes to realize when things are just not going to go my way and they may not for the next few hours.  Only patient study and diligence will answer that question.

Thanks for the input.

Yes I trully do know what you mean but its impossible to know when to return. You asked how long ?
It doesnt matter, imo. Unless ure on Tilt and bettin reckless

Bac is set in stone, when you come back X hours later those cards will still be there waiting for you.
When you leave you have every chance of returning to another RFH

Its set in stone my friend, whatever you do.

Yes, Sir, I think you're right.  I think what I did was get back-to-back runs from hell.  I've played twice today and wished I were betting 100's!!
