After 4 years of university and getting a good degree my son Matthew has just arrived in Glasgow, Scotland, to move into his first flat ready to start his first "proper" job next week! Proud, me? I should think so!! ;D

Congrats to you and your son . . .
It's a milestone to be savored and one I hope to achieve next Spring when my youngest (28 years old) finally gets his degree and hopefully a job.
Well done to your son,,,and to you too.Its moments like this that make all your hard work and sacrifices worth while.
You seem like a good dad mate.
congrats
Congratulations to you, your son and also to his mom. It takes good parents to keep kids on track these days.
I'll assume your mom and dad made sure you laid the foundations for a productive life also.
Kids always want to grow up too quickly and they just scramble up their life.
It's not hopeless for them, but will take a lot of fortitude and commitment to right a sloppy beginning. I know because I went down that road myself. I still haven't caught up to where I could have been. Too late now. I'm on the downhill slide.
This should put him a step ahead of the others.
Of course, in this economy there's no guarantees.
Dittos to you too Nickmsi. The apple usually falls pretty close to the tree. And even if it rolls away a little, it usually finds it's way back eventually.
Well done mates,
Congrats, Roughy.
Be sure to tell your son to stay away from all forms of gambling, and especially this forum. ;D

Bayes, Remember about the apple not falling far from the tree.
Congrats to all.
Glad to hear of a young person doing well.
Sam
Thanks so much for all your kind words.
Good luck to you and your son too Nicksmi.
Luckily he's much more sensible than me Bayes! :)
Though I can't take too much credit for him, he's done so well - in spite of me!
And actually MOP and GLC, I am the mum! ;)
Thanks again
