Title: Potential
Post by: buffalowizard on Aug 30, 03:27 PM 2010
Hi guys,

For a while I've been brain bashing this, first with 9 numbers and now 12.

It's a simple enough bet selection, but I needed to find the best time to bet and for how long, as with anything in roulette, there were many permutations.

So basically, we are paying attention to whenever a dozen repeats.

This could be anything from 1 spin up to 20+

So it would be foolish to keep betting in one go.

I have crunched many hits with my own past spins, and have got my best results betting only on the 1st, 3rd and 5th spin of a 'hunt for the repeat' If it hits on, say, the 2nd spin then you STOP, and retrack.

Likewise, if it hits on the 4th you stop, having bet twice. If it goes beyond 5, then you have bet 3 times. This also stops us from losing on the very long streaks of choppy dozens.

I personally cover the zero with a unit rising slowly, it just makes me feel better, and start to retrack after one hits.

Progression I have been testing with is the old Zone favourite:

1 1 2 <first line of progression
3 2 2 < second etc.
4 6 5
5 10 15

Heres a list from approx 100 spins denoting when a dozen has hit as an example:

1 1 1 1 1 0 12 0 2 0 3 3 5 1 1 1 0 1 3 0 2 1 1 3 1 6 8 1 1 4 1 1 1

So to begin with we have five 1's that come in straight away +2 each. Zero's come thick and fast, lucky its covered! Then a pair of 3's which is great +1 each. A 5 which is +2 etc . the only tricky path in this session is the 6 followed by 8 and then the hit on the 1. This is 7 steps into the progression but still only a loss of -3.

I will post further test results soon. Hope thats explained it ok.

And here are 5 more sessions, all yielding profits

1 1 8 3 4 3 1 2 1 2 3 1 2 3 (13) 4 5 7 3 2 8 5 2 1 0 1    +7

2 3 1 1 1 2 2 3 2 2 1 1 1 0 1 2 0 2 3 1 3 2 0 1 1 1 1 3 7 3 3 3 0 1 2    +22

(10) 1 3 6 2 1 1 0 1 1 3 1 0 4 2 4 3 6 2 1 1 1 2 4 5 1 1     +6

(12) 2 1 3 1 1 2 1 7 1 2 5 2 1 2 1 6 2 1 0 2 1 7 1 2 1 1 10 0 1     +13

5 2 1 2 5 2 5 2 2 3 1 4 2 3 1 3 1 1 4 3 1 1 2 3 6 2 4 0 8 3    +10 (included a run of 11 betting losses 6,2,4,8 - still ends in profit however)

Buffalowizard,

Interesting concept.

I played it a little differently, though.

Wait for a dozen to immediately repeat. Then bet to hit again on spin 1,2 or 3.
On a loss, retrack, then bet next progression level.
On a win, retrack and go back to level 1 progression.
I used your progressions.
I did not bet the zero. I also forgot about retracking after a zero.
I tried for +10 profit.

These are results from Weisbaden real spins.
Spins To Repeat,Result (units),Spins

8122111,+10,38
112112,+10,28
211182113,+10,68
33134712213,+11,75
18123823162111,+11,113
51116711(10)5(11)7,-51,90
313322,+10,37
11213862521211,+10,91
246231538241,-4,100
23161276122627,0,101
Most sessions turned out quite good.

In the -51 session,my feeling was to stop after losing the 3rd level progression, and end up -21 ,but I just wanted to play out the full progression. In fact, I think that might be my stop loss, after losing 3 levels of progression, rather than trying to recover the loss. Bad sessions often tend to continue that way. With all the good sessions, why not just start a new one.

Anyway, looking good so far.

Hi Mikeo,

I think you are right to include the stop win/loss element. Perhaps finishing at +10 as you have and stop loss at -20, that way would secure lots of profit by your results.

I hope to do more testing soon as I can.

Hi Buffalowizard,
I'm not quite clear......You bet that the last spun dozen will repeat on the next spin, the 3rd spin and the 5th spin or you wait for a dozen to repeat and then you bet for repeats on the next spin, the 3rd spin and the 5th spin. Please just clear up that point...what exactly are you looking for before you start betting. Maybe an example would be good.

Thanks,
Scooby Doo

Hi Scooby Doo

I look after each spin for a repeat and you are right in the first instance. I bet for a hit straight away, after the 3rd and then 5th,

so:

12 - this is the first spun. I bet for a repeat
23 - loss. Now I dont bet the next spin.
34 - Not betting here. Bet the next spin for a win on the 3rd spun.
32 - Win

heres another

28 - bet next for a repeat
1st frame       2   - loss
2nd frame      13 - no bet
3rd frame       29 - bet - loss
4th frame       12 - no bet
5th frame        8   - bet - Win

cheers BW

Hi Buffalowizard,

Thanks for the added info.   One quick question:  Once you have won on either the 1st, 3rd or 5th frame, do you immediately follow that up with a bet on the same dozen or do you retrack and wait for a different dozen to come up?

Ex:
36
12
24
18 - Win
14 - Do you bet 1 unit here or retrack and wait for a different dozen?
17 - If you win again, do you bet again 1 unit here or retrack and wait for a different dozen?

Thanks for your assistance.

Regards

Gerry

Hi Gerry

Yes you are right, continue betting straight away. That way you tend to run into nice little trending dozens. If dozen 1 repeated 4 times then you would still be on it, winning on the first frame.
Hope this helps and good luck with your testing.

Thanks BW.

I was playing the 1st, 3rd and 5th frames but only when a new dozen came out.   In  other words not betting immediately after a win.   I still came out ahead 17 units.   Perhaps a bit of luck thrown in doesn`t hurt.   ÃƒÅ'`ll take a look at the results if I had played the way you replied and let you know.

Thanks again
