Title: Casino's sharing information ???
Post by: ddarko on May 02, 05:29 PM 2013
I got thinking for a bit the other night, remembering about somebody saying that casino's share their information on players.

Could anybody confirm this pls ?

But, my question is to do with the Uk. Over here we have the "data protection act" (link:://ico.org.uk/for_organisations/data_protection (link:://ico.org.uk/for_organisations/data_protection)) which the way I see it should stop casino's being able to sharing data about you in the Uk as least.

Does anybody know?

Does anybody have any stories Uk or not regarding my line of questioning ?

That I don't doubt Chris555p but IF they are doing that in the Uk I think they are breaking the data protection act, hence my question!!!!

Many casinos will not let you play if you do not agree, they get personal information (and can use it). I have seen casinos registering fingerprints, and takes photo of the players..
The casinos must by law take actions against suspected money laundering. Anybody banned for cheating, or any other actions like that, may inform other, at least the casinos they have ownership in.  The data protection law are similar in EU, they can ask you to permit the use of the personal information before they let you enter (by fine print), or if on line get an account.

Here you can not anonymous play at a BM casino.

I have no problems casino's in the same "group" sharing information after all it the same Company so to speak. It's different Companies sharing info that I'm trying to find out about ;)

The data protection act is a load of B**llocks. Personal Data on you can be got fairly easily by just about anyone with even
the slightest amount of "authority"  it's called the digital age where personal information can be got easily.
Spies are on the net watching you!   ...

I know what you are saying Kingspin but it's still the law.... So I think in the Uk they shouldn't be able to share what you have won/lost with them for example.
