Title: Is weather predictable? Give me your thoughts on it.
Post by: Spin4Fun on Aug 08, 11:20 AM 2013
Maybe a strange question, but maybe you will see to what discussion this will lead…

If you answer is Yes, would be nice to indicate why you think its predictable
If you answer is No, would be nice to indicate why you think its not predictable.

Hmm! I see where you are going

My view, Yes. Indeed it is predictable. To me anything is predictable. It is just the accuracy of prediction that varies. Weather is something that can be predicted with greater accuracy that it would have been done in 1980. How? It is using a number of dependent factors where one event leads to the creation of other event. Again the accuracy of prediction varies between long term and short term. Data from met office in UK says they are able to predict 1 day weather forecast with 85-88% accuracy and 3 hour temperature forecast with 95-98% accuracy.

That took not long to get the right answer!

And the good news is for roulette you have less parameters then for weather prediction >:D

Also a lot will claim previous spin has no influence on next spin… but in some way it does…(live spins)

Weather prediction only became more accurate when they got more data acquired and the more models they developed, the more data and models (strategies) we have the more precise our predictions can be..

I think your right Spinster! As people run the numbers more things will come out....as far as weather we used to have a weather analyst for the airlines help us make early bets on american football a few days before the games--in the winter a lot of snow effects the over and unders in outdoor stadiums---
