Title: Autumnal Equinox
Post by: ThomasGrant on Sep 21, 11:57 AM 2010
September 22, marks the first day of Fall 2010.

Technically known as the Autumnal Equinox, the first day of Fall 2010 is symbolic in many ways.  It is during this time that the sun is directly above the Earthââ,¬â,,¢s equator, resulting in an exactly equal time period for day and night.

Why do they call if Fall?

You got.

Spring.
Summer.
Winter and
Fall?

Maybe because the leaves fall down.
Who the frak knows.

We call it Autumn.
Because we know what that is.

You know, if the Planet was not tilted on its axis we would not have the Seasons as we know them  :o

Umm, was it you who told me the world was flat?
Or was that someone else?

How can it be flat and be tilted on its axis?

Thomas, I think it was Iggiv who posted the "earth is flat thing".

Twister, we have the same here (Sweden). 15 Celcius today and 5 Celcius in the weekend  :(

We had good weather in the beginning of the summer, but after that it has rained like all the time..

Yes, but the last winter was a real winter actually. We haven't had so much snow since 10-15 years ago. I like the winter to, it's a very nice air to breath :)
