Title: Even Chance Progression Method
Post by: Proofreaders2000 on Aug 15, 01:35 AM 2014
Up one unit on a loss.  Less one unit on
a win.  *Stop-loss at four units, win or lose.

Hi Proof

One question pls, assuming the first four bets are lost, we
stop.

Next attack how much do we bet to recover the first 4 losses.....?
Thanks.

Cheers

It goes back to one unit. (continuously)

1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1... (provided all are losses)

If there's a win less one unit.  (Unless you're
at four units already, then back to one unit)

So, what you're saying is that we play +1, -1 until we have a 4 unit bet.  When our progression progresses to the point that we have to make a 4 unit bet, then we must return to 1 unit on the next bet whether we win or lose the 4 unit bet.  Right?

So, we only play 1-2-3-4 unit bets, always.  No further progression.  If you lose 4 bets in a row starting from the 1st  bet making you -10 units, you must recover those 10 units at the 1-2-3-4 unit bet level.

Right?

Proof and GLC thanks for the reply.

By dropping to 1 unit after  four losses it would take 10 wins to recoup. That quite a
long time to get out of the hole it would seem to me.

Not exactly Chris.  What if you lose 4 times in a row and are at -10 and then you lose 3 times in a row before winning on the 4 unit bet?  That makes you -12.  Here's the breakdown of the progression

If Lose        Bet size              If Win
  -1                 1                      +1
  -3                 2                      +1
  -6                 3                        0
  -10               4                       -2

In order to win 1 unit for every win, you have to play a 4 step marty : 1-2-4-8.  But then you're down 15 units after 4 losses in a row.

Correct.  No further progression.  I've found
a 10 unit loss is not that hard to recover from.

Also, consider you may be winning at the
1-2-3 leg of the progression so recovery may be much faster.

Great progression! I tried this today and made 50 units. I lost the 4 unit bets a few times but i recovered and made the profit easily. Are there any similar progressions in the forum or anywhere on the internet? I like this kind of progresssions very much and i would like more progressions with simple rules that needs low bankroll.
