Title: Hello Everyone - My experience with Roulette
Post by: drscience on Feb 11, 07:19 AM 2015
Male, 42yrs old.

My first time in a casino was last year. I put $500 down on black. At the time, my hands were shaking and my heart was racing. Black hit! Man, on the drive home, I was on top of the world. It's funny now when I think about how I felt on the first spin and win.

A month later, I decided to hit the casino again for my birthday. I started drinking a few beers and caught a buzz. That's when I decided to play some roulette. I don't remember the exact details but I only played red/black. Within 1 hour I won $12,000 with a buy-in of $1,000.  The next 3 months, I was going back on a regular basis to play even bets. I had lost half my winnings so I stopped for a while. I used the rest of my winnings to pay off all my credit card bills and a few payments on my car.

Over the course of the year, I would go to the casino. Maybe once a month, sometimes two or three times. I didn't keep track of my money or wins/loss.

More importantly, I learned about money management, discipline,  gamblers fallacy, and roulette theory's.

So, this year I started up again. A few weeks ago, I went to the casino with $200. After 4 hrs, I went home with $5,000. I started with red/black with $25 chips and built it up to $800. I changed in $100 for nickels and played the inside. I won about $1800 with inside bets and nickels. Lastly, I moved on to $25 chips on the inside for more winnings.

Since that time, I've won an additional $900 with three other visits.

For me, I vary my bets. I don't play every single spin. I like walking away and coming back.
I like betting against streaks after the 4th hit. Example, 4 blacks, I'll start betting on red or it can be 4 evens and I'll bet on odds.

So, that's my story as of today. I hope to continue winning the rest of the year.

I wish you the best at the roulette table!
Just make sure you don't have any debts, and you don't play with all your savings because thing will can happen.

Thanks.
I paid all my credit card debt with past winnings.
I'm only using my winnings to continue playing.

Just recently, I ran into bad luck and lost a good chunk but that's okay. I still have a good amount to play next time.

I don't have particular strategy.
Even bets - I like trying to break a streak if I see 4 or more. So, 4 blacks, I'll play red.

Inside bets. If I see a streak of black, I'll play 4-8 numbers on the inside for red.

Anything else is random.

I am trying to find a biased wheel or learn about the dealers spin. Frankly, I have no luck with that.

When u bet against a streak of 4 do you just do it once then stop? Do you use progression?

Could you explain your name?  I assume it's Dr. Science.  Are you a scientist?

I really don't use progression.
If I lose on the 5th one, I may double on the 6th but that's it.

My name means nothing. Just a random name for security purposes.
