I have 108 Win/Lose outcomes here. See what's the best you can do using a progression of your choice; however, your highest bet cannot be over 4 units. You don't have to bet on all the outcomes, but your system must be consistent.

These are the results I got using two different progressions.

Progression 1:

Profit: +11 units
Highest bet: 4 units
Drawdown: - 24  

Progression 2:
Profit: +19
Highest bet: 4 units
Drawdown: - 28

Finished +8.

High bet 3.

Lowest in shoe -1.

High was something around +17 or so (did it in my head while reading the screen)

It would have been better if we could know HOW we got the Wins and Losses.

With the Grand Martingale you win +108 units with a high bet of 63 units.

                  I am sorry but I could not understand what type of bets you are referring to and which progression you and others using. Can you please elaborate a little?

+45 units
Highest bet 5 units (1 time)
Lowest point in shoe -1 unit
Largest drawdown  -6 units

I used a 2 stage parlay after the first loss so the let it ride (parlay) bet would have exceeded 5 units in some cases.  I only bet after a win and stopped betting after a loss.

@ Al, you may apply any progression you'd like. Only try not to bet more than 4 units.

AD, here is how I got the W/Ls.

I used this method betting on the ECs.

Bet same color as last
Lose and bet the opposite color
Lose a second time, switch to OE

I do the same with OE.............once I have two losses, I switch to HL (not that it matters which order you go)

From HL, I switch to RB, from RB to OE, and so on.

I guess the next idea would be to see who can come up with the best bet selection and get the most wins out of these same spins. Anyone up to it? Or just provide your own real data past spins.

I got 59 Wins and 49 losses

Ok Dennis, i tried to follow what you did without really knowing how exactly you played your game. Hey, but i got something here. I got better results than i did before. ;)

These are my new results:

+ 19 units
Highest bet: 4 units
Lowest point: -1 unit
Largest drawdown:  -8 units

What i did:

like you, i stopped at a loss and waited for a win to continue

After first win, i parlayed, then went back to 1 unit bet

Waited for another win, and parlayed again, this time twice in a row, then went back to 1 unit bet.

Waited for another win so i'd continue to parlay, but never had a chance to continue at this stage. I'll keep trying this method of play and see how good it does.

   I used the Rambler progression.  I will paste it below, hope it all lines up.   The number before the / is the amount to bet and the number after the / is the profit if the parlay is successful.

I think the problem with a small test like this is that we're now attempting to backfill the results of the table.  The correct question would be to have everyone run this sample USING THEIR CURRENT MONEY MANAGEMENT plan and see how it comes out.

Just my two cents.

I agree, AD that the sample is not enough (of course).

Actually, last night i did a test on a different set of outcomes using the method i described last (using a parlay), and it didn't work as well............where my other method used first worked much much better. I guess the idea is to find something that works more or less consistently.

Here is the other set of W/L outcomes i used. You guys may want to check  and see how your progressions might go with this one.

Carsch,

Every system has a certain sequence that it works well on and others that it doesn't do so well on.

Usually, if a positive progression works on a sequence of spins, any positive progression will work.

A good test of a betting strategy is to find a bet selection strategy that tanks on a certain sequence and then try that sequence of spins with different betting strategies.

Also, try a really good sequence of spins and see if your bet selection stays steady with them.

We do that quite a bit on Atlantis' systems trying to find the ideal bet system that works best over the largest sequences of spins.

Uh, guys.  Wait up.

You're not playing against the roulette wheel here.   You don't know what the actual table bets are.

What you're "testing" here is STRICTLY MONEY MANAGEMENT.

You can test nothing else as all you know are the outcomes after the fact and you know nothing about what the bet was!

So, if you think you're testing "your" system with these plays, think again, it's merely your money management that's being put to the challenge here.

That's why I asked, earlier in the thread, about where these decisions came from.   What if they were dice bets?  Baccarat?  Blackjack?  Sic-Bo?

It does matter!

However, it is a good test for everyone's money management system for sure.
