Title: Roulette learnings
Post by: come_on_melb_ole on Jun 13, 02:33 AM 2015
Dear All,

Thanks for all the current and past posts, feedback, community spirit (sometimes  :o), information, ideas and discussions. The information posted has really helped my on my Roulette journey.

I have listed some of my key learnings to date (in no particular order of importance). I would love to hear your thoughts and comments regarding my learnings:thumbsup:

1. Playing for long periods of time at the same table is asking for trouble.
2. Set a win target and leave the Casino when a target is reached or close too being reached.
3. Bank roll must be managed at all times, increase your daily bank roll in tandem with your total bank roll.
4. Play multiple strategies within a session, I focus on double dozens or columns, single dozens and 50/50 bets.
5. Try to focus on making consistent profits early on in a session.
6. Do not be afraid to make large bets when appropriate, follow your gut and do not be scared of failure.
7. I play Roulette with a stockbroker mentality, I treat Roulette as a volatile stock so my playing approach is never rigid.
8. Small progressions can be used when a stop loss is applied. I do not flat bet.
9. Hit n' Run - I never play for more than 60 minutes per session.
10. Play multiple tables per session. Once 33% of your daily target is achieved at a table, it's time for a table change.
11. When playing double dozens or columns, bet the dozen which last hit and the sleeping dozen.
12. Keep records. I maintain a spreadsheet and a private Blog. I am a data man
13. Always play at a B&M Casino.
14. Focus several hours per week on reading about Roulette and other subjects which can benefit your game.
15. I never focus on the money aspect of playing, I am detached from my bank roll and only focus on my results, I treat Roulette like a sport.
16. Come to terms with bad beats and move on, YOU WILL HAVE LOSING SESSIONS. Try to learn from your loses.
17. Do not get c***y when you are one a winning streak, pocket your daily win and move on.
18. Do not test strategies against thousands of spins, they all fail in the long run.
19. Treat Roulette as a business. MAjority of businesses fail due to lack of planning, don't be one of those people.
20. Enjoy the total experience of being a Roulette player (testing, reading and live play)
21. Look for another hobbie if you can not control yourself.

Regards

It really helps to know your wheel. Some of the older tables I've seen have a definite bias towards some numbers.

I sometimes feel that also but I wonder how many times the wheel at my local casino gets swapped. I think it would be common practice to swap the wheels around.
