Title: Grading methods
Post by: MrJ on Dec 12, 09:36 AM 2015
I'm a big believer in grading methods, especially the ones we create on our own.

Grades are >> A+, A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C << thats it !!! (or no grade at all) lets not get insulting towards one another, none of this F F F F  stuff.

Post grades if you wish. If this gets out of control, I'll delete it, no need for locking.

Good idea, Ken!
Would it not be simpler to grade with numbers (1 -10)?
Where 10 is brilliant.

I know you Americans are used in letters, but the rest of the world use numbers...

I'll give you 8+ for you idea :)

Should have a rule attached to it

Only allowed to grade if you have tested it and post results with proof of real numbers

This way there isnt any rogue grading

Which there will be plenty of

it's a nice thought Ken but it still has a top grade of A+ & bottom grade of C

Certain ppl here will kick up a hissy fit when they receive that C.....

I thought about that. If the C is not just given to be a rude cruel SOB, I see no real harm (I might be wrong on that).

1-10 grades are also fine.

As I've never got a method to win consistently, I wouldn't feel it fair to just waste members time.

I wouldn't go to a classroom where the students grade each other. (grins).
What would be a A to one person is a known failure to someone else.
I suppose if you're going to grade it on how "you think" it performs, then fine.
It's in no way accurate though to the next person who tries it or plays it.
