Title: Forum rules modification
Post by: Steve on Feb 07, 05:22 PM 2016
See link:://:.rouletteforum.cc/index.php?topic=9426.0

There are a few additions, main one being:

FOR ALL MEMBERS: If You Have a Complaint Against The Moderators

1. Do NOT kick up a storm on the forum and create trouble.

2. DO tell me (Steve) IN PRIVATE exactly what the problem is. Don't be vague. Be very specific and give actual examples of the problem. I will only consider actual actions and text from moderators.

FOR MODERATORS:

7. If you must warn members, warn them in PRIVATE with a PM. Understand that doing it in public is going to make the situation worse.

8. If entire posts are against the rules and need to be removed, do NOT just edit the whole post. Actually delete (in-tact) it so it goes to the "Deleted Posts" area, then I can review it later.

9. Be very careful to be humble of your position, or you are going to push members away. ie don't use it as a weapon to win arguments.

10. Understand that being a moderator means you need to bite your tongue even more than normal members. If you aren't prepared to do this, you shouldn't be a moderator.

Moderator or not we r all human

We all have emotion

We all have bias

He may not like me or my roulette strategies

But at the end of the day we play the same game and have the same goal

I hold no grudge.

I am over it

All i ask is this: do NOT edit my posts

I admit i am an idiot at times. But do NOT delete my posts if i dont break a rule

Deletion and editing of posts is NOT something that should be done lightly. Most of the time it is justified. And in cases where it is NOT justified, just contact me with details. I cannot rely on word alone. I need examples of text to go by. Mods should not edit entire posts if they are going to delete them, otherwise I cant see what was said.

Yes humans make mistakes. A good saying is "There are no perfect men. Only men with perfect intentions." I know myself I have every intention of being fair to everyone without bias. Anyone I hope everyone can learn from this at least. Yes, pretty please lets all move on.
