Here is an interesting one...

The slot machines here in the UK have upped their jackpots from £4,000 to anything up to around £15,000. They are supposed to be completely random and in theory 2 jackpots could go off one spin after the other. So I am in the Grosvenor the other week and one of the machines hits for £12,000 around 11.00pm. I leave this particular casino around midnight and head over to the other Grosvenor Casino across town. One of the women I know there is a regular and plays the slots a lot. So I get chatting to her and she says the jackpot went about an hour earlier for over 10k. What are the odds of that. So my question is was that just a completely random thing or had the Grosvenor decided they had taken enough and programmed the 2 jackpots to go on the same night.

I, personally, don't believe they are rigged but I don't think a casino employee will tell you "you know my friend's friend, our games are rigged but please don't tell anyone 8)". He maybe misinformed depending with his position in the pecking order. For example, I doubt a dealer may have this kind of info!

The odds are very low for that to happen but remember sometimes even 0.0001s are hit but it will be interesting to know before that night when was the last hit!

The house edge is there cheat. This combined with the weak human self control.

And the occasional winner or pro not gonna make a casino bankrupt. If a real winner or pro is spotted then they kick him out. My girlfriend use to work in a class B casino here(all automatic and no dealer but real wheel). Every now and then she get the assignment to refuse a guy for going in.

They had a problem with the airball once. Everyone won on it. At least those who could see what happened in front of their nose. That problem got fixed though.

I wouldn't think they are. But the casino still has an advantage due to the presence of a zero on the wheel. So statistically they will always make money from it overall, even if people occasionally win large sums.

Casino employees can't tell you much about the games or how they operate.  They can tell you if the game is leased or owned, and in some cases if the game is making money.
