Facts known about roulette not the game itself but the wheel.
We all know the wheel has no memory.
Take any thing that works mechanically, it has no memory as to what happened a minute ago.
Hence we have the black boxes that record data in airplanes.
Which enable us to reproduce what happened and avoid mistakes or disasters.
What system builders are doing is taking the black box(old spins) and start to analyse the data based on the system they want to make win.
Lets think outside the box for a minute.
From the black box we have statistics that have been proven to be correct +/- 1%.
One good example is we know in a 37 spin cycle we have XX amount of unique numbers and YY amount of unseen numbers.
Lets add standard deviation to the above unknown numbers.
Having the above solves 90% (under my estimates) of guess work with the wheel.
The wheel that has no memory. Yes 10% is a lot to deal with. 10% of 37 is 3.7 number's.
A good mathematician based on payout has always said bet up to 6 number's and no more.
By using the right approach and good understanding of previous set of numbers. Roulette can be beaten.
There is only 2 things going against a human player:
1) Human greed of never ever getting satisfied with the amount won per session.
2) Not been able to control oneself from going into tilt.
The best practice any roulette player can first do is:
Practice to control his/her greed.
Practice to be under control when things go wrong at the table.
Let's remember ANGER IS YOUR WORST ENEMY.
Human greed will always follow us no matter who you are.
Take an example of a business man or even a worker at a fast food industry. Do you know what they have in common?
They both want to save money for their family and themselves. I am sure you are too. I ain't gonna deny, I am too.
Anger: In a business if things go wrong and you lost some money due to wastage or etc. Do you run to the bank and empty the bank account? I am sure not.
I am going to let you think of the above 2 major influences in your life as a gambler.
Back to business.
We are trying to run a business. We have a very limited capital to work with. We have to make it out.
Here is my take of what a CASINO is, I look at a casino as a 24 hour ATM if used wisely.
It's a location full of wealth that the owners don't mind you taking a share of their profits.
Oh, whats used wisely in my point of view, think of the ocean as a casino.
So much wealth in one and the other has so much water.
What do you think will happen to you if you took a truck to the beach and tried to fill it with water?
I am sure you will get stuck in the sand, do you know what will happen while you stuck? The next high tide will drown you.
Lets look at it in a second way, take 2 pails of water fill them up and leave the ocean come back again. You will be safe. I am sure you get the point.
If we were starting a business we would first try and analyze the market, do our research and at the end decide, ok this is what I will do in my business.
Once you open your business, would you shut it down in a few hours if you didn't have any customers? Well look at roulette from the very same logical thinking.
Don't waste your time trying to find a system or buy one from someone who says they can sell you one.
I will throw this out there, look at a lawyer or a doctor, they spent 7-10 years studying and what is their reward?
Stop jumping from one system to another if it fails in the first 15 minutes.
This is how I look at, how roulette can be beaten in the long run.
In the simplest terms possible:
1. The winning number is determined by real physical variables, like wheel and ball properties, spin spins etc. Or is it voodoo? You decide.
2. If spins are random, the odds of winning are fixed. For example, if you bet on 0, you expect to win about 1 in 37 spins (single zero wheel)
3. The payouts never change. They are casino rules. For example, a win on a single number pays 35 -1.
4. The house edge is the casino's advantage over you. It is simply unfair payouts when you do win.
5. Almost every system is based around junk, like law of a third, waiting for numbers to hit then betting, martingale progression etc. They lose because they dont change the odds of winning. So the odds are unchanged, and the payouts are unchanged. The result is guaranteed long term loss. No betting progression changes it.
6. The average player has no idea of these simple fundamental facts, which is why they keep coming up with losing systems, again and again.
7. Everything in roulette is long term, unless you have detailed data that accounts for why the ball lands where it does (like dominant diamond, rotor speed, ball fall bounce, ball bounce). You cannot possibly test a system properly from a few minutes or even days and weeks of play. Proper testing requires months of real play OR proper simulations from recorded spins from a real wheel.
8. The ONLY way to beat roulette consistently is to increase the accuracy of predictions, AKA increase the odds of winning.
9. Most players will either flat ignore the above, or not have proper understanding of it. Professional players, players who arent new to roulette, or players who are reasonably intelligent, will understand the facts and wonder what other players are thinking.

My face is blue now. Anyone can take or leave these simple facts.
@Azim
Nice words!
When I think about time there was topic:"Should we invite Azim back to Forum?"
Hell yes, and invite Winkel also!
I like Winkel, great guy!
Ken
Since you can not beat roulette then there is only one option: Beat the casino at THEIR own game. Apply their ( casinos) tactics against them.
Simple as that.
QuoteBeat the casino at THEIR own game. Apply their ( casinos) tactics against them.
So before you bet a chip, chisel a bit off and put it in your pocket. A penny saved is a penny earned. Is that what you mean?
Stenve,
Not exactly as you stated above but but I will give more details later on. It requires an awful lot of discipline Not every ones cup of tea. .
Takes a little bit time to explain it. But I do so in the near future .
