Post by: FreeRoulette on Aug 29, 12:11 PM 2016
Hey All,

We all share a common interest in roulette so I was wondering what  do you do for work.

IT development....zzzzzzzzzz
Sorry....did I fall asleep?

Used to be an electronics engineer at Ferranti
We equiped British warships and submarines with radar systems.
We famously let an Exorcet missile fly undetected into HMS Gallahad in the Falklands war
Happy days.

American car rental company, financial service for the UK. My areas are interim service, damage, vehicle movements, buyback rectification.
I'm not in the UK tough, I'm a cheap labor far from there.

No offense intended to the good men who died at the falklands.

Turner,

Why did you remove my comment on system testing?

Turner,

In the future, please ask Steve if a thread needs to be moderated before taking action.  Tooo many posts "evaporate" around here.

Thanks.

Turner,

There was nothing wrong with my post, so I've the same question, why it as been removed?
I'm feeling unwelcome in this forum under this moderation.
People re-act strange sometimes for reasons only them understand...

That wont be necessary. Dont worry about it. Some posts quote deleted posts.

Its not your decision

Make a new post about system testing. I will moderate any shit for you.

I believe that the moderation could perhaps use a little extra review before recklessly deleting posts.   ::)

my my....we are all animated now arnt we.

You believe in repeating the same tat for 10 years...stirring shit and upsetting people and getting banned

Try posting a method on this roulette site instead of commenting on others all the time.

Start a thread on something useful.

Every post here ends up in a bun fight straight out of a kids party.

Its pathetic.

Turner,

I know you're trying your best.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but some people just aren't cut out to be moderators.  Some people are too hypersensitive and don't have the aptitude or knowledge required for it.

When posts are recklessly deleted, all of the forum posts become about the deleted posts.  It becomes a huge distraction.

General. You want a moderator who moderates what YOU want moderated.

Dont be foolish. We all know why you dislike him.

Turner,

I'm sorry, but it's the polarizing comments, like the one above and others, as well as the reckless deleting that has me questioning your ability to moderate in impartial and in an unbiased manner.

Either way, please consult Steve before deleting posts in the future.

Thanks,

The General

I'm sure some people remember Gambler's Glen. moderating is tricky because if you remove all posts except related posts, then it removes the fun. People like the back and forth drama. But too much drama and no one wants to join because there is not enough content.

Is it possible to have a vote up/down on a post and enough votes will hide the comment  and users can unhide it, but too many votes will remove the comment.

That way no one has to micro manage the posts.

It would be kinda cool if there were a side by side, one side heavily moderated for content, and the other side unmoderated for discussion.
