Title: interested in roulette quiz?
Post by: Steve on Sep 10, 06:21 AM 2017
On all the forums, there is such a bad knowledge. The level of ignorance is severe. What makes it so bad is people turn a blind eye to the truth. Its willful ignorance. Thats a nice way of putting it.

Im looking at ways to improve understanding. One way is a quiz, where members can answer questions and we can see their level of knowledge.

I know some people will question whether or not what I consider the truth is actually the truth. But you know its not hard. Truth is generally something supported by testing. Its not an opinion. If you want to debate it, do some testing.

The questions will be varied. Theyll get harder but will start with simple ones. Yes its possible to cheat one way or another, but some questions will be very difficult, and this will separate the people with real knowledge.

Who is interested in such a quiz?

1. We is everyone here.

2. The main purpose of the quizes are to educate people. The answers would come with explanations. It helps members see where their knowledge is at.

3. Nobody is forcing anyone to take the quiz. If you rate yourself highly, then show everyone you know your stuff

4. Knowledge IS a fair indicator of someone's level of progress.

notto, if youre saying you have knowledge beyond anyone capable of writing the quiz questions, keep in mind the answers will be fully substantiated. You could debate the answers. There will be an option to contest the correct answer. But if you claim a correction, youll need something real to back your claim. Or should fantasy and opinion rule over logic and testing?

I've added the first quiz. I'll add more soon.

You can see available quizzes by clicking the "Quiz" link on the LEFT SIDEBAR.

I'm still trying to figure out how members can add their own quizzes.

Brand new members cant participate, to reduce cheating. Yes with planning someone can cheat, but just don't do it. Its to benefit members, not to show off that you are smarter than everyone.

You can contest answers, but you'll need to provide good justification.

I have gone back to the older layout -- and I don't see any left sidebar in this layout.

Yes, it appears at the top. I didn't notice it before.

It is part of the Home ...... Logout menu bar.

Thanks.
