Title: recording history at the wheel
Post by: iggiv on Jun 12, 09:36 PM 2010
In casinos usually a guy can record a history at the wheel for a couple of hours before starting betting? Or a pit boss can bother him and kick him out if he won't put bets?

It is not a problem unless you hit a really picky casino.

I don't think they would take you out, specially on first visit. Mostly they aim at bias players and such, who spend all day long taking notes.

Go there, hunt for a busy table, don't take a seat until your actual play begins and do feel free to take notes.

In the rare event they happen to ask for your notes, hand them over gently; mostly it is curiosity or to check if  your notes may have some Advantage-play signature on it (I.e. diamond hit, rotor speed, dealer rythm...).

If the casino doesn't allow taking notes as an established policy, you will be approached. They don't want to disturb the casino, as much as you don't want problems. Unless you are a repeated offender, first approach by a pit member should be polite. It is basic etiquette.

Waiting is nice especially if you are waiting for your favorite seat (like me) WHILE jotting down numbers. When you do sit down, bet the min. every 6th spin on red or black. That usually keeps them happy.  Ken

If you become smart you don't even have to take notes, just look at the histroy board and work from there. When playing my zone strategy for example. I would simply mentally record a qualifier and bet  ;D

The board is helpful but I record the numbers regardless. I take zero chances that it is working 100% perfect 24/7.  Ken
