Flat bet--eventually 1 up 1 down--evenly balanced,which would be;

bet A                                bet B

  1 ----  6  2un.                   7 -----12  2un.-----------------W/L  6un.
13----15  1un.                  16-----18  1un.
25----30  2un.                  19-----24  2un.
31----33  1un                   34-----36  1un.

Very evenly spred on the wheel and rarely any large deviations.

I donÃ,´t see any mystery with it.

A) The long term
B) The short term
C) A 'good' method ('decent' method)

A) Is individual depending on how frequent some one spend time gambling in relation to how many placed bets some one make on average using a strategy.

B) The short term just make me thinking of hit an run which for me is a waste of time.

C) A good method or decent is a method which succeed to overcome 1024 placed bets using flat betting and where the minimum gain is 100 units.
Now in average we always get average fluctuation and draw downs - peaks - during 1024 placed bets or above.
Then if some one manage pass does using flat betting and still end up with a positive gain.
Then i regard that as a decent method.

Note.
Based upon does principals there is a reason why some one would apply a slow fibo progression in different stages and using does in different levels of attacks and have a decent shot at the long run.
If we assume some one is playing a Roulette System.

The cruel truth is that not many if any strategy at this forum or any other have 100 or above after 1024 placed bets - and that bench mark is for even money position - but should give a hint to similar bench mark for any spreed of numbers.

Ken is correct -- there are no absolute, objective definitions for A, B or C.

But all are open to individual, subjective interpretations...as the thoughtful post above clearly shows.  ;)

[In other words, the meaning of each is in the eye of the beholder.]
