Title: posting images
Post by: Bayes on Jan 15, 03:00 AM 2011
I should know this  :-[ , but when inserting an image, how to position it where you want it? whenever I upload an image from my computer (and don't just link it from somewhere else) it always shows at the foot of the post. I assume you have to use the image tag, but I'm not sure how.

So having uploaded an image, I just put the image tag wherever I want it placed, correct?
Thanks Chris.

Yep.
From the drop down menu above, choose attach# for small size image, or attachimg# for full size image.

Depends on the size of Ur image.

Can alwys back track and modify Ur message (for a short time span) and change the shape/size, by just back- spacing out the (img) part of the attachimg#.

Hope that helps.

So if posting multiple images you add the corresponding number after the # symbol, right?

In the order U have added an image, or else they end up all over the place !!  he he.

(I meant in the order U have added the attach link at the bottom, under the message box.

I usually, click all the images I want, then add the numbers to my script afterwards.

then it produces a double check for my draft.
obviously, the actual image does not show in preview mode, so I preview by just posting, and then modifying quickly!!

OK, this is just a test as I normally insert the img tag instead of attach.

We'll see how it comes out.

Edit....   Well, it worked, it's just that you don't appear to be able to "preview" the graphic but it is reasonably self explanatory so I think future graphics will be posted using the "attachimg=#x" thing instead of the link.

Hmm, resize locally and upload.  That works out just fine.

Even if U resize, it may still come to forum with a slide bar at the bottom.

if U save the image as a JIF, or BITMAP, then it come just as the size of the boundaries of the information contained in the image, not the page formate.

I save mine by putting them in PAINT first, then Save-As.

Same last line with image inserted now looks like this:-

I save mine by putting them in [attachimg=#1] first, then [attachimg=#2]

.............................which look like I have changed the text, but I haven't !!

Hmm, learning something every day!

Here's a resized photo to keep the slider bar from showing up.

Thanks for all the good information on posting up graphics!

Actually that's the cash on hand for the local casino play.

That money is casino only and gets built up from the local landbased casino.

It's easier to keep track of where the winning are coming from that way.
