We have some in the fridge from Christmas.
My London based sister would have normally polished it off
with several rounds of Marlborough Toast
And probably joined by her husband, my Landscape designer, brother in-law
But we did too much food all told for the 22 assembled guests
at the annual Curwen Christmas bash.
Usual held at our parents house.
But to give them a break
(there getting on in years now, and mum has not been too well over last 5 years)
we held it at me & my girlfriends house for the second year.
I love having everybody round- - its hard work for about
4-5 hours, serving drinks, food, directing people all over the place
tending to their needs, and wants.
Chatting when I can to each person who's free,
watching over the games that go on,
trying not to take part in pass the parcel,
I think its unfair for the host to win during
the play, so I make sure it wizzes by me.
So there it sits, still un-opened, and the
BEST BEFORE DATE is this coming Sunday-
my birthday date as it happens,
tho with us all going out for the birthday meal,
i doubt it will get used up before then.
So it just sits there- un used.
Shame.
But like I said, I really have to be in the mood
for it, its a funny one that one.
