Title: My first post.
Post by: Gareth on Feb 17, 03:31 PM 2011
Hi everyone, Greetings from Portsmouth, England.
I caught the roulette bug a few months ago after visiting the local Grosvenor casino at Gunwarf in Portsmouth.  I walked in with Ã,£50 and walked out with Ã,£200, just by betting red or black and doubling up after a loss.  Winning on my first visit was probably a big mistake.  I thought this is to easy its like printing money.  So Ive been down a few times since and lost all of it back.

I started looking for roulette tips on google and soon found this site.  After lurking for a couple of months and reading a lot of the information and posts on here, I realised my eyes were totally closed when I walked into that casino.  Doubling after a loss is probably the quickest way to blow your bankroll.  Ha Ha.

Really impressed with all the information and systems that people have put a lot of time into, and shared on this site.  Gonna try that Matrix vertical when I make another trip to the casino at the end of the month.  Ill let you know how I get on.  Cheers, Gareth

A very warm welcome to U Gareth.

Lets put U on the straight and narrow, and soon U can get Ur Ã,£200 back, never mind the original Ã,£50 deposit.

Chris

Gareth,

Don't be too hard on yourself, my friend, there are some decent systems based on a limited martingale.  After you get some experience, you may even decided that a more controlled bet selection with a limited martingale is a good choice to try to recover your 50 pounds (or whatever monetary form they use over there).

At least you might as well start reading and learning right away.  If nothing else, you should be able to learn what not to.

As our leader Victor always tells us, "Learn how to not lose first."  Do this and then you can build on a solid foundation.  I'm still working on that one myself.  He's a good teacher.  I'm just a slow learner.

I might advise you that the Matrix Vertical bet method is a 4 step martingale played on 2 dozens.

Ole Marty pops up all over this forum.

Here's my favorite observation.  Every negative progression is a Martingale or a modified Martingale.  (Negative progressions are when you increase the size of your bet after a loss and either remain level or decrease your bet size after a win)

Hi there.  Some great tips there on your roulette for the millions thread, GLC.  The part about using clairvoyance to win may be a bit beyond me at this time, but I definately need to work on my bet selection for the even chances.

Ive been waiting for four or five of one colour to hit then betting the opposite, thinking that one colour could not possibly hit for ten spins.  How wrong was I.  Your "hard to lose" bet selection method on the even chances is much more robust and Im gonna test it tonight with my last set of spins from down the grosvenor.

The Redknapp years were glorious but they really crippled the club.  Very nearly liquidated and stuck in the championship, but hey that FA cup victory will stay on the record books for all time.
