Is it possible for a live casino to cheat the player in live roulette?
Just like players that cheat in B&M casinos with technology to capture ball and wheel speed to predict the sector outcome. Could the casino turn the tables on the online live player in using the same or better technology to cheat the live roulette player.
If the casinos prediction matched a players betted number, could they throw a switch, a few seconds after the dealer has released the ball. Disrupting that individual players connection and subsequently void the players bet?
This could easily be set up in the studio without anyone knowing it was there except for the person who installed the technological equipment and that same person could also monitor your live play and kill your bets if and when is necessary.
Possible or not possible, any thoughts?
In the last year of playing at the live, online casino that I use for almost daily play, I've had four instances that pretty much duplicate what you've described.
The wager is placed, the game starts, and the video or internet connection fails for some reason.
Of those four times, three of the decisions were decided and paid accordingly. (Two won and the third lost). This was reflected in my online account the next time I logged in and I verified the result from the tote board and another member who happened to be playing in one of the games with me.
On the remaining wager, a two unit normal wager, it was returned as the game had "frozen" on their side and not restarted, resulting in all wagers being returned and was explained in the return email I got when I requested the results of game # 12345xxx.
So far, no conspiracy to cheat that I can see from here.

Unfortunately it happened frequently at Microgaming Live Roulette three years ago. For the longest time, I thought it was just bad bets. Then I was made aware (by others who played at casinos with the same feed) of a suspicious flicker at the bottom of the video, as if the video has ben intentionally changed. I would leave all but a street uncovered on several bets. Every bet would lose with certain dealers. They soonafter shut down the Live Games. Strange!
yes that does sound suspious and that they also stopped live gaming. I know 32red is reputable and have live baccarrat so why don't they have live roulette!!!!??????
Very strange.
The BEST Live gaming is with PaddyPower and the feed they get from Latvia
Check it out if you get time ;D
Well,
it is very much possible to cheat online, even in live dealer games and slingshots. I can not give a concluding opinion but twice I felt this to happen. Once with celtic (visionary I Gaming platform) and once with smartlive casino. I quit playing at both after complaining to them. Now, I don't play live at all but at betvoyager because it has a very genuine mechanism to generate purely random results and I am sure of it. Once on some site, I read the story of cheating through use of four magnates and switches. Server being down and live feed getting disturbed or blurred are very common excuses to manipulate. God knows the reality.

Its seems at odds to trust online roulette (B.V.) over live but I see your point.
I have some superstitous suspicions with sling shot roulette in whether they can be controlled and manipulated. Could the ball be ejected at a variably controlled speed at a timed release to match a position of the wheel to target a sector or slot on the wheel. The wheel might even be variably controlled to slow or speed up slightly. With all the laser technology around to predict a balls outcome this could be used with the mechanical dealer set up to manipulate the outcome after the ball is released. Not suggesting for a second a casino would resort to these cheating tactics, though a rogue casino might.
That's why I prefer a live human dealer to spin the ball and it would be better if online live casinos introduced the real game of roulette where they spin the ball and then allow you to bet before calling no more bets.
i have some experience with air ball and i think they do cheat, think if they blow air trough slots to spin ball what stoping them to blow air so ball does not hit certain slots..every time you see ball does funny moves this is what they do i think,on live dealer i do not see ball moves like on air ball..on air ball you can see a lots of back movement and sometimes is obvious...just my thoghts

Who are they going to cheat against? I have been playing live online for a few years now and can see no difference between land casinos I played for years. I'm not saying it couldnt or hasn't happenned. But put it like this if there are 10 people betting on an online wheel several are betting for 5-10 units a spin and another player is betting 200-400 a spin. Whose more likely to get targetted? STAY UNDER THE RADAR PEOPLE. GREED KILLS GAMBLERS ALL THE WAY AROUND

Keep in mind JohnLegend has access to legitimate casinos like PaddyPower, which with a few others are the exception. With online gambling you may have 20% of casinos with strong reputations (and half of those have great customer service and pay in a timely manner.)

This is true Proof with BOOKMAKER casinos theres no monkey business I win 500 units, I can withdraw it immediately. I dont deal with these dodgy casinos. Even Smartlive ive heard require you to prove your ID before you can withdraw. Bookmaker casinos are the besr.
These dodgy offshore casinos AVOID.
All,
To continue with the thread about casinos "cheating".
I just came across a run of 16 singles in a row today. (EC bets).
Did the casino cheat? Were they trying to cheat me? Is this normal?
And once again, I'll ask the question. If somebody can tell me what to look for, I'll watch for the "cheating" that the casinos do.
AD (It did show a very nice profit though!)
Sounds normal to me!!
I had this few weeks ago:-

..................and equally, made the most of the opportunity!!! >:D
We agree!
A streak of 15 either ZZ or straight is like money in the bank!

I think it is quite possible, but I can't understand why casinos need to do that, as it all will end up in more lost players. . or even worse- lawsuit and sanctions as a result. . I do not think that casino owners prefer short-term profits and do not care about their future or reputation, rather I think that long-term success and strong image is what they all seek. . .
