Title: Roulette VS reality
Post by: wix on Apr 17, 06:37 PM 2011
Anyone here feels that its wrong to play this game?

I don't hide when i play the game, and i notice everytime when i mentioned it i get that "disapproving look" from close ones around me.

If i win, they are happy, but if I lose they'll say things like, "told you not to do so", or "Quit the game", or "why don't you just give me the money and I'll go buy xxxx instead of losing it to casino"

It's annoying hearing such feedback. Everyone has their own game play tactics. Sometimes I feel that it's become a social discrimation if you gamble. Personally I feel that as long as I know my stop loss, that I don't gamble away my house, I don't see anything wrong with playing roulette, yet why is it that the society seems to think that I've commited a murder everytime i step into the casino.

Thanks for that Jon.

u r right..i'll just continue what i do and play.

a part of me is wishing i can make more bucks from the game, and when i think it's stable enough I want to quit my full time job and start a side business, while i keep playing.

when I was doing extremely well at one point, I ever had that thought once, then suddenly there was a big plunge in my game play...

Maybe its a sign for a balance in life, to keep a job and get me going.

Keep a diary of how much you win and lose as this will remind you of the uncertainty of the game. My advice is just play for fun now and again.

Just ignore them.  When you do make it just disappear to a small island somewhere and send them a postcard with a roulette wheel on it.   :D
