Twister,
I know that going through your situation can be a little scary and your mind can imagine all sorts of bad scenarios but trust me, it is best to imagine good things. I would suggest planning what you want to do after the worst is over. That will take your mind off from things and give you an exciting plan once you're around and kickin' it again.
Get well soon my friend. We all miss you here on the forum>
Best Regards,
Scooby Doo

Get well soon mate and looking forward to your good news ;D
Always think and stay positive
Kind Regards

Did anybody talk to him within a few days or any emails? Can anybody tell me more about his disease? There are certain cancers which can be cured without chemo. I am more than worried about Paul's health and wish to see him writing regularly soon. May God help him.
He did say that He would not be able to take part in the Forum, on a regular basis, for some time.
I think we should all wait till Paul(Twister), or one of the Mods has news for us all that can be posted up in this place.
May the messages of good health, and recovery continue, and can I say that my thoughts are with Paul, and his close Family - always.
I hope we can all respect Paul's deserved right, to a little peace and quiet, while he copes with the treatment he is undertaking.
Cheers all.
Paul has been the best in the forum, even superceding Victor sometimes. I hope, he will be fully cured sooner than later.
I second that emotion Al.
Paul is making an excellent Administrator.
Looking Forward to his return, and putting his own "Twist" on the subjects at hand!
honestly -- he is a good guy, but i don't really care what kind of Admin he is or will be, i want very much that he just gets well, that will be enough

Yeah I kinda miss him on this forum....
come back Mr. Twister
Yes its feels a little empty here without him.
I have get used to see him here every day.
Hope he is well and everything is ok.
Jon
I'm very sorry to hear this Twister.
It is important, of course, to remain positive.
As I'm sure you already know, chemo will drag you down. You must build yourself up. Alkalize your body. Cancer cannot survive in an alkaline body. Read up about it. There is a lot of information out there.
Seek out a holistic healer, Naturopath or MD, to guide you. Do not rely on chemo alone.
All my best to you.
Looking forward to your return.
Michael
Maybe this video/audio help a little to Paul:

normy
Yes today has been one of the better days ;D
Feelin tired now though lol
u can take some fresh air outside after the twilight time, can't u? it is much healthier than spending time on the internet. I mean i do like to see you posting here, but takin some fresh air could be better? sitting on a bench relaxing for example. It is not like sitting in front of a monitor.
Hey Twist,
Glad to see you back and that your felling better! You've been dearly missed...
So how long before you can go outdoors? it must be really boring indeed, staying in the all day......and "funny" is, when the doctor orders to stay in, that's when we become so conscious of how good it feels to be outdoors....
vundarosa
This will be my third year doing a charity Bike Ride, called the Ride To Conquer Cancer.
We ride over 210 km in two days from Toronto to Niagara Falls.
I don't know you Paul, but have read many of your posts.
I believe that this Forum has member from all over the world.
For those of us that believe in prayer, let's say a prayer tonight for Paul.
May he have a great day tomorrow.
Just know that even though we've never spoken, I'll think of you when I"m riding.
You're not alone.
With warmest regards from Canada.
Truly,
Canuck

Thanx guys and girls :)
Will update this Thread in about 2 weeks when I know more
You will surely overcome this phase bro. Think positive.
If you have any news yet I hope its good.
i lost my father in 2002 to cancer and mother in april this year..
its a horrible, horrible disease.
having said that, I have several family members that have overcome the beast, one was breast, one testicular and one skin (mole).
so for every tradgedy there's a triumph.
i wish you well friend
stay safe
mike
I was just about to update this very thread !
Thank you to everyone for your kind words of support :)
Things are on the up. My skin cancer is in remission.
I have to have a review every 2-3 months
Also I have to have an operation. But to health issues the operation wont be until latter this year
I feel more my "old self", although I do get tired easy still. Maybe Im just gettin old lol :D
So thats the latest news. When I have to have my Op I will be gone for a few weeks but I will let you all know about that when it happens, and like I said it wont be for a while
Thanx everyone
may i be one of the first to say thats bloooody brilliant NEWS
well done paul, well done for taking it easy, resting up, taking docs sdvice, having the treatment, coming though it and staying strong.
did you have long periods int he sun without protection in the past? or sunbeds? or was it just one of those things?
most people in my family who have had skin cancer, infact all of them have been very heavy sun bedders or frequent flyers... BUT I KNOW THAT DOESNT APPLY TO EVERYONE.
i always use 50+ factor on the kids, and myself, i cant stand the sun, but i do like it warm, just not too hot.
Really Great News Paul.
Keep up the Good work.
A thousand Thumbs Up to U my forum friend.
*clap* *clap* *clap* :)
congrats!
Bright news. Absolutely cheered my day :)
Good on ya Paul, and don't worry about the absenses "here and there", we'll be around for you when you get back, take your time when you need it.
Vic
Great news!
And even better news for Twister.
Apparently a side-effect of his treatment is large tufts of hair growing on his palms and between his toes.
What he also hasn't told you -- modest lad that he is -- is that he's been officially urged to audition as a Hobbit, in Peter Weir's next Tolkien production.
Thought I'd check in. Glad you're feeling better Twister
"Things are on the up. My skin cancer is in remission." >>> Very GOOD to hear my friend. Your health is near the top, most important things in life!!
Ken
Cheers guys !!!!
I appreciate ALL your well wishes
Love You Guys like a Family ;D
