Personally I favour airball for many reasons, mainly because I don't have to stand in the pit with all the hopeless peasants

It has a physical disc and a physical ball, therefore it *IS* a valid version of the game.

What is not a valid "roulette" is betting against atomic radioactivity or against atmospheric noise (link:://rouletteforum.cc/Themes/anone/images/post/thumbdown.gif), as it is the case with many real-money RNG's from online casinos.

This is my opinion, I always recall it as roulette:

Slingshot, Airball, Manual... they are valid roulettes to my eye.

another silly question why then we get air ball roulette with minimum 0.10 pence to 1pound chips but live dealer ones start from 1 pound minimum bet or 5 pounds ,,so if there is not difference  why live dealer ones not starting from 0.10 pence and going whatever table limit casino allow..because to me most of online air ball roulettes are acting as RNG...OR they can put ball where tey like..just wonder..thanks

Yes good question don't know the answer  :-\

Maybe because airball/slingshot is cheaper to operate than having to pay dealers wages  ???

That last post puts the finger on the answer -- wages.

Dangle,  (nice icon/avatar)

Hey!  I've got two of those Fobus holsters for use when I go to the casino and play roulette or baccarat.

AD (had to make sure something about roulette was in the message)

The casinos consider airball machines as slot machines.  I didn't know this until about 2 weeks ago when I had 24 units on the 2 line and it hit but didn't pay out.  The machine didn't stop, but I was able to get a supervisor to bring one of the computer technicians to the machine.  When they ran the computerized backup it showed that the 2 line did not hit.  Well, I knew better because I had been there for 2 hours, as was the case with 4 other people who won but were not paid.  The casino refused to make it right, so I filed a complaint with the Gaming Commission, who did investigate it and found from the cameras that I was telling the truth.  The casino has yet to compensate me for the win.  No surprise there.  Bottom line, player beware on anything computerized.  The casino will ALWAYS win.
