Title: Should there be a section for Randomness?
Post by: Gizmotron on Jun 12, 02:01 AM 2011
I suggested these two definitions for the Roulette Glossary:

Randomness: "Having no specific pattern, purpose, or objective" while at the same time providing discernible characteristics of having specific patterns, purposes, or objectives.

Reading Randomness: The ability to assign observations of characteristics into subsets of past outcomes in casino games, like recent past spins in Roulette.

Now that I've run a section at the old VLS forum and have personally instructed ten students I have a fuller understanding of the difficulties in attempting to share valuable information regarding Randomness. It is very difficult to know the nature of randomness. It must be experienced in order to know its nature. Only a serious effort can make the topic worth pursuing. John Patrick just mentions it in passing. He says he uses it but he really just looks at it in a basic way. On the other hand John Patrick deals with the pitfalls of loss of self control. He does that well. He also uses MM to a basic advantage. I could pull all that together into a method. Pulling everything together is a science. It requires work. I just don't know if people are willing to work that hard for a real working method.

A few people here have shown a real interest in trends and patterns and things like that. I think I could tell people the exact holy grail method but they won't be able to execute it. In fact they will end up rejecting it. You can't make a person learn a thing. They have to do it themselves. Reading randomness is just the beginning. So this thread should tell us if we have anyone that really wants to be a professional player.

If there should be a section for randomness where should it be?

I think this is a very good idea. as randomness and statistics are the main points to deal with/ fight against in roulette, there should be a special  section.

cheers

It would be controversial but I am up to it, as it is the approach I seek and study.

it could be under
link:://rouletteforum.cc/collapse/?c=2;sa=collapse;sesc=5e794071dabd389d224ecfc9ef03c8e5#2 (link:://rouletteforum.cc/collapse/?c=2;sa=collapse;sesc=5e794071dabd389d224ecfc9ef03c8e5#2)

or even under your own personal section, in the way of Gizmotron ways...

Count me in!
hope that it is created soon.
;-)

YES!!

I second what Hanshuckebein wrote. Well stated, Hans.

Your own personal section is the way to go, Gizmotron.

I know Victor will support that idea.

Maybe ball random behavior cant be rationally explained by its results.
But they can be predicted to some extent because outcomes/events are bound to have frecuence (timing), secuence (space rythm) properties.
Events cant avoid being associated with trends producing patterns.
Again timing and space.

Repetition of patterns for all kind of events are related to serial characteristics of roulette random outcomes.
I believe ive got interesting information about this too.

So i support Gizmotron idea about a section to study the real roulette issue: randomness.
When/If understood this issue it should be our ally, not the enemy, to speculate with the game.

Cheers,
Carlos.

How about Randomness Studies? That's good enough I suppose.

I've got something even better. How about the real Holy Grail. I can do this because I've seen a poor version of it done before and it has not wrecked the game. The problem is that it's a skill. And that is why it's OK to share it. This should get real interesting.
